Laureen Uy Pens Message After Miscarriage
Laureen and her husband Miggy Cruz announced they were expecting their baby last October
Two months after sharing they were expecting a baby, Laureen Uy and Miggy Cruz shared that the content creator suffered a miscarriage.
On Wednesday, December 4, Laureen and Miggy posted a joint reel titled “A Letter to Our Baby Girl Miles.”
Worst Day of My Life
“From the moment we found out we were pregnant with you, Dad and I were overcome with joy. It was the best news of our lives—a love so immense and instant, it’s hard to put into words. You filled our hearts in a way we’d never known before,” Laureen wrote.
Laureen continued, saying that she and Miggy did everything to make sure that everything would be okay.
“Everything Dad and I did, we shared with you, imagining all the memories we’d make as a family. We pictured holding you in our arms, kissing your tiny hands, singing you to sleep, and exploring the world together—a family of three. We couldn’t wait for that future.”
But when Miles’ heartbeat of the baby stopped, they knew it wasn’t meant to be. ” It was the worst day of my life. I didn’t want to let you go—my body didn’t want to let you go. Even now, it feels like a nightmare I can’t wake up from. But this is our reality, and it’s a pain I never thought I’d have to bear.”
Grateful for the short time
Laureen reminisced about the moments she and Miggy will miss.
“We’ll miss the quiet talks we had with you during tummy time, the dreams we built around you, and all the love we poured into the little life growing inside me,” she wrote. ” Losing you isn’t just about the hopes and dreams that slipped away—it’s the heartbreak of losing you, our precious baby girl. There are no words to describe the depth of this pain.”
Although she and Miggy are grieving over the loss of Miles, they are forever grateful for the time they had her inside her womb.
” You’ll forever be our daughter, our little angel. Though we grieve, we also hold on to faith. We trust that you are now in the hands of our Lord, surrounded by peace and love. And we believe He has a plan for us—a future where your memory will forever remain a part of our story.”
