A Legally Blonde Prequel Is In the Works!
Academy Award winner Reese Witherspoon teased the announcement on social media, as Elle debuts on Prime Video next year!
The early 2000’s is making a return! Reese Witherspoon teased on social media that she is working on the prequel of the hit Legally Blonde film titled Elle.
“Before she became the most famous Gemini vegetarian to graduate from Harvard Law, she was just a regular ‘90s high school girl. And all of you are going to get to know her, next year on @primevideo ✨ I’M SO EXCITED!” she wrote.
More details of the project have yet to be announced but many of her followers have already expressed their excitement, with many hoping her daughter, Ava, will play Elle Wood.
Legally Blonde: The classic for many in the 2000s
Reese has done several films in Hollywood but Legally Blonde was one of her biggest to date. It tells the story of Elle Wood, whose dream is to be Mrs. Warren Huntington III. However, her boyfriend finds her too blond and leaves for Harvard. Elle is determined to win him back and gets into Harvard, later discovering her talent as a law student.
The movie has also produced a second film called Legally Blonde 2: Red, White, and Blond.
Reese is an Academy Award winner for her role as June Carter Cash in Walk The Line. She is also a businesswoman and executive producer. Aside from Ava, she has two kids – Deacon and Tennessee James. Ava and Deacon are her kids with former husband Ryan Philippe while James is her child with ex-husband, Jim Toth.
