Likhang Filipino: A Home-Grown Showroom Worth the Family Trip

Six galleries of Filipino-made craft, fashion, and design sit inside a Pasay City complex built for browsing, learning, and an easy family day out.

Tucked along Roxas Boulevard, inside the former PhilTrade grounds, Likhang Filipino has quietly become a spot worth building a weekend around.

The showroom opened in January 2026 as a permanent exhibition hall run by the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM), the export-promotion arm of the Department of Trade and Industry. Its purpose: to give Filipino craftsmanship — much of it made for export and rarely seen in local retail — a place where everyday shoppers can actually walk through and touch it.

That’s part of what makes it an easy family stop. There’s ample parking, no admission fee, and enough variety across the six galleries that parents and kids tend to find their own pace, whether that means browsing furniture or lingering over a design exhibit.

Six Galleries, One for Every Member of the Family

Gallery 1 opens with a Special Exhibit and Design Library tracing 50 years of Philippine design, a slower, more visual stop that works well for a break between shopping or some context before diving in.

The five retail galleries each cover different ground.

Gallery 2 holds traditional arts and crafts, the kind of heritage pieces that make for a real conversation with kids about where things come from. Gallery 3 carries fashion, textiles, and accessories. Gallery 4 is furniture and lighting. Gallery 5 has home decor, gifts, and holiday accents. Gallery 6 closes it out with artisanal food, health, and wellness items, good for a few take-home treats after the visit.

Every product on the floor comes from a small or medium Filipino enterprise, meaning a purchase here also supports the artisans and communities behind it — a detail that gives the shopping trip a bit more weight than a typical mall run.

A Good Time to Visit

Likhang Filipino is currently running an end-of-season sale, with discounts up to 50% through Sept. 15, 2026 — a reasonable nudge if a visit’s been on the list. But the appeal holds beyond the markdown: it’s a space built around Filipino design history and craftsmanship, with enough room and variety to make it worth returning to.

The showroom is open Tuesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., at the Likhang Filipino Exhibition Halls along Roxas Boulevard in Pasay City. Weekday mornings tend to be quieter, worth noting for families with young kids.

More details are at their website, with updates on Facebook and Instagram.
