The Little Mermaid actress, Halle Bailey, hid her pregnancy and announced a few hours ago that she had given birth to a son.

While mostly posting fashion photos that either disguised her baby bump or only showed her face on Instagram, the Little Mermaid actress Halle Bailey eventually shared the good news—that she had just welcomed her son, Halo! She may not have revealed his face just yet, but she already gifted her little boy a golden bracelet with his name engraved onto it, adding that he was “the greatest thing that happened to her in 2023.”

“Welcome to the world my halo 🥰👼🏽 ✨the world is desperate to know you 😉🤣♥️,” she writes in the post.

How Halle Bailey Used Fashion to Keep Her Pregnancy Away From the Limelight

Although we’re sure she must’ve had her reasons for keeping her pregnancy under wraps, hiding a baby bump isn’t easy. But Halle Bailey appears to do that easily by making use of dresses with large accents such as a halter red dress with large waves trailing down from the neckline to the hem.

Another look she went for was a glittering, black, floor-length gown by Gucci. Most of her outfits, at least the ones she posted on Instagram, often involved wide-silhouetted clothes or maximalist pieces that either stunned through texture or color.

However, many of those who commented on her photos were confused by her posts and wished to congratulate her. But some others stood in her defense, telling the commentators to “leave her alone.” After all, one reason Halle could have kept her pregnancy under wraps was to keep it stress-free. Since we know how unpredictable pregnancy can be, we can see why some celebrities prefer to hide it.

A New Part of Her World

Halle Bailey has had quite the year in 2023—acting in several films such as The Color Purple and The Line while releasing her latest solo “Angel.” Her solo song even got a Grammy Nomination for Best R&B Song, making it her first nomination ever as a solo artist.

But for her, the best part of 2023 was perhaps waiting for her son, Halo, to become part of her world. Congratulations on your new son, Halle Bailey!
