The First Family of Marvel

In the teaser, Reed Richards and Sue Storm (Pedro Pascal and Vanessa Kirby) are seen escorting a VIP into their headquarters’ living room. The scene later switches to Ben Grimm or Thing (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) teaching a robot about the sauce they are making.

It then shows a flashback of the moment wherein they developed their powers during a mission in space. Sue’s brother Johnny (Joseph Quinn) later becomes known as Human Torch.

Sue then tells Reed, ” Whatever life throws at us, we will face it together as a family.”

And what is the Fantastic Four without one of its famous enemies as the figure of Galactus is seen looking at New York?

The teaser also shows a glimpse of the group’s gadgets including the Fantastic vehicle.

A reboot everyone is curious about

Reports of a reboot of Fantastic Four have been in the works since Marvel acquired the rights to the storyline from another film outfit. At Comic-Con in San Diego last July 2024, it was finally confirmed that  Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach were on board.

The film’s director, Matt Shakman did not reveal many details at Comic Con except that the film will have a 60’s vibe.  But it reported that Silver Surfer, another character part of the Fantastic Four storyline will appear.

This marks the third time that the Fantastic Four will be on film. The first two movies starred Jessica Alba, Chris Evans (who later became Captain America in the MCU), Ioan Gruffudd, and Michael Chiklis.

In 2015, Miles, Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan, and Jamie Bell took on the roles of the four heroes.

Everyone’s looking forward to the film!

The film is set for a July 25 release, making it one of the superhero films everyone is excited to watch. With Captain America: Brave New World starting the hero lineup this February and DC’s Superman in July, The Fantastic Four will bring a new generation of kids into an adventure they have not yet seen.
