Metro Manila Film Festival: All Trailers

Which of the films will you be watching starting December 25?

December is the formal start of Christmas and also the annual Metro Manila Film Festival. This year marks the first time 10 films will be shown instead of the usual eight films. The Parade of Stars is scheduled for December 16.

This year’s lineup of films includes family drama, horror, historical fiction, and fantasy. Check out the trailers and start planning your movie dates with family and friends this Christmas!

Penduko

Matthew Guidicelli gives life to one of the country’s most famous superheroes based on the comics of Francisco Conching. The film also stars Kylie Verzosa, Aaron Villaflor, Albert Martinez, and John Arcilla.

Kampon

Derek Ramsay along with Modern Parenting cover stars Beauty Gonzalez and Zeinab Harake star in the horror film directed by King Palisoc.

Rewind

Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes star in their first movie in more than a decade under the direction of Mae Cruz-Alviar. The movie also marks the return of Marian on the big screen.

Family of Two

Sharon Cuneta and Alden Richards star ina story of a mother and son’s story under the direction of Nuel Naval.

Mallari

Piolo Pascual takes on a triple role in the horror film Mallari directed by Derick Cabrido. The film also stars Janella Salvador, JC Santos, and Gloria Diaz.

GOMBURZA

We knew them as the three priests executed but what is their story? Actors Dante Rivero, Enchong Dee, and Cedrick Juan give life to the priest Jose Burgos, Jacinto Zamora, and Mariano Gomez in the film directed by Pepe Diokno.

When I Met You In Tokyo

Star for All Seasons Vilma Santos and The King of Philippine Drama Christopher de Leon reunite in the film shot in Tokyo, Japan by Conrado Peru. De Leon also served as associate director. The film marks the debut of Darren Espanto and Cassy Legaspi’s tandem.

Becky and Badette

Eugene Domingo and Pokwang star in one of the comedy films of the year under director Jun Robles Lana.

Broken Hearts Trip

Christian Bables leads the cast of the film directed by Lemuel Lorca.

Firefly

Alessandra de Rossi, Cherry Pie Picache, and the tandem of Miguel Tanfelix and Ysabel Ortega lead the cast of the film directed by Zig Dulay. Dingdong Dantes also appears in a special role.

The Metro Manila Film Festival formally kicks off with a Parade of Stars on December 17 with the films showing starting December 25.
