WATCH: In New Black Panther Trailer, The Women Shall Rise
Is your family ready? Marvel releases a new trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever scheduled for a November 11 release in the US.
After much anticipation, a new trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was released Monday, October 3. It gives a glimpse of what lies ahead for the kingdom.
Following the death of T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman, who died in 2020), the kingdom grieves. Most especially his sister Shuri (Letitia Wright), Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett), and Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o). As the kingdom tries to overcome the loss of its king, danger seems to bubble from under the sea via Namor (Tenoch Huerta). Namor intends to go to war against the kingdom.
The film also shows familiar characters including the appearance of another Marvel character, Ironheart.
Who is the new Black Panther?
While Marvel has been mum about who will take on the role of Black Panther in the film, devoted fans know that in the comics, Shuri takes over for her brother after he was badly injured. Clearly, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever signals the rise of female heroes in the storyline, judging from the silhouette of the new costume.
In addition to the trailer, a poster was revealed showing Shuri, Ramonda, and Nakia along with other characters of the film.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever opens in the United States on November 11.
