Ninong Ry Gets Candid About Preparing for a New Baby
In a Tiktok video, Ninong Ry talks about how he and his girlfriend are getting ready for their new baby and taking it easy after a miscarriage last year.
Ryan Morales Reyes—better known as Ninong Ry on social media—recently shared how he and his partner are prepping for the arrival of their baby. In a TikTok post, the food vlogger and chef gave a quick look at the items they’ve gotten, as well as the work he needs to finish as a content creator.
“Hinahanda ko din yung sarili ko in terms of trabaho. Kasi s’yempre kailangan natin magtrabaho para masuportahan natin yung pamilya natin,” he said.
Ninong Ry said it’s not only about helping provide for the family. He believes that as a dad, he should be next to his partner in taking care of their child. As of posting, his partner is around 20 weeks pregnant. “Kailangan mag-spend din tayo ng oras kasama yung baby, tulungan natin asawa natin. Alam naman natin na kapag bagong panganak ang baby, wala talagang tulugan yan,” he explained.
“Nag-meeting kami and sinabi namin na kailangan naming i-maximize yung pino-produce naming content,” he added. “Meaning, basta, makikita niyo nalang ito in the coming weeks. Hindi mababawasan yung upload namin. Hindi rin bababa yung quality, pero kailangan maging mas efficient kami. Meron na kaming steps in place para gawin yung bagay na yon.”

He also pointed out that the husband and wife must be tag team when it comes to taking care of a newborn in the first few weeks. Although he’s nervous about taking care of a baby again, Ninong Ry said he’s confident with his partner by his side.
Suffering a miscarriage
It was also in the post that Ninong Ry addressed for the first time that while he and his partner are excited to be parents again, they had a miscarriage before this baby. “Ang totoo niyan, ngayon ko lang ito sasabihin publicly, pero nagka-miscarriage kami, last year,” he shared.
“So kumpleto na yung gamit para doon sa baby na yon na nasa langit na, angel na siya ngayon. Eto ngayon yung mga gamit na para sa kanya sana. Medyo mahirap din kasi talaga para sa akin yung bagay na yon and I don’t think na kailangan lahat ng bagay sabihin pa pero dahil nga masaya na uli kami, parating na yung baby, eto shinare ko na.”
Despite the initial setback, Ninong Ry said they are excited for the baby’s arrival including his eldest son.
Aside from his food vlogs, Ninong Ry dabbled in acting last year, appearing on Shake, Rattle and Roll Extreme.
