Now You See Me, Now You Don’t: Time To Get Ready For A New Magic Trick!

It looks like the Horsemen and their magic tricks are back to wow families with their next great heist with Now You See Me, Now You Don’t (aka Now You See Me 3)!

Magic tricks are always amazing to watch. We’re left on the edge of our seats, trying to figure out just how they pulled off such a fantastic illusion. In the last Now You See Me movie, the true illusion was Dylan Rhodes discovering not only was his father was not murdered but also how to outsmart one of their previous opponents, Arthur Tressler (played by Michael Caine) and his son, Walter Mabry (played by Daniel Radcliffe). It was truly a family affair in the last movie. But the third installment, Now You See Me, Now You Don’t, gathers a new generation of horsemen to pull off an even greater heist than the last!

The question is: can they do it? Here’s the trailer for you to watch:

Here’s What We Know About Now You See Me, Now You Don’t

It looks like three new magicians are joining the horsemen, bringing the total to eight magicians who will be going against a world crime network. Reprising their roles as the original horsemen include J. Daniel “Danny” Atlas (played by Jesse Eisenberg), Merritt McKinney (by Woody Harrelson), Henley Reeves (by Isla Fisher), Jack Wilder (played by James Franco), and the leader himself — Thaddeus Braddley (played by Morgan Freeman).

The new horsemen include young magicians played by Dominic Sessa from The Holdovers, Arianna Greenblatt from Barbie (2023) and Borderlands, and Justice Smith from Detective Pikachu. Based on the trailer, they may be the new horsemen under Atlas’ care and tutelage, as they are the ones who make the first attempt to steal the Heart Diamond. They steal it in hopes of thwarting the Vanderbergs, particularly Veronika Vanderburg, who is played by Rosamund Pike (from Die Another Day and Jack Reacher).

Don’t worry, we’ve noticed it too! What happened to Mark Ruffalo? Will he return as Dylan Rhodes in Now You See Me 3? While he isn’t in the trailer, some of the fans are speculating that he will show and is part of the secret. Others on Reddit are saying he’s in Avengers: Doomsday, which may be the reason for his reduced role.

But let’s be honest: the phantom thief cliché is one of the most celebrated action ones among us. We love the vigilanteism and the mystical mixed together. Plus, the thrill of knowing how one tricks their opponents with elaborate schemes and demonstrations is just amazing to watch on the silver screen.

According to the trailer and Lionsgate’s official YouTube account, Now You See Me 3 is preparing to debut this coming November 14, 2025.

For millennials and Gen-Xers who grew up on TV shows like Breaking the Magician’s Code, Ripley’s Believe It Or Not, David Copperfield, Now You See Me, Now You Don’t is a salute to those shows. Nothing’s more fun than finally figuring out the trick. Besides, considering we try to hire magicians for our kids’ birthday parties, we’re pretty sure they’ll love this too!
