LIST: Organizations To Donate For Those Affected By Tropical Storm Kristine

(UPDATED) Several organizations are on the ground heading to the Bicol and Calabarzon region to send donations affected by tropical storm Kristine

The spirit of bayanihan is once again activated around the Philippines as thousands of people were affected by tropical storm Kristine after she caused rains and floods in the Bicol and Calabarzon region.

As of 11:00 am, Manila time, PAGASA reported Kristine is on its way out of the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

Several organizations are now on the ground sending donations, and rescue teams have been dispatched. Other NGOs have activated themselves once again to lend a hand to help those affected by the tropical storm with TV stations giving latest reports and activating their telethons.

Here is a list of verified organizations and foundations that you can check out to send your donations in kind and cash.

Angat Buhay Foundation

Angat Buhay has been on the ground since day 1 of Kristine’s presence in the Bicol region. You can also get in touch with their Manila-based office for volunteerism.

Rural Rising PH

Rural Rising has posted its relief drive for their farmers hit by the storm. Among the items needed are hygiene kits, food, and basic needs like blankets and towels.

Youth Ambassadors of Albay

The Youth Ambassadors chapter of Albay has also been in touch with other NGOs on the ground, seeking donations in cash and kind for their fellow Albayanos hit by the storm.

PAWS Philippines

PAWS Philippines mobilized its community as it sought donations for the pets of families affected by the storm. It is working with Angat Buhay to distribute the goods they’ve collected.

GMA Kapuso Foundation

GMA 7 and its foundation have launched its drive and doing a telethon to seek cash and in-kind donations.

Operation Blessing

Operation Blessing has also launched it drive for Tropical Storm Kristine and is calling for volunteers to help in packing goods.

1Z Entertainment and A’TIN

1Z Entertainment, the company of P-Pop group SB19, and its fandom A’TIN joined forces in calling for relief goods they’ll be putting together to be sent to organizations on the ground. Volunteers will be at the yellow gate of Araneta Coliseum to accept donations starting October 26 from 10am to 3pm.

ABS-CBN Foundation

ABS-CBN will hold a telethon starting at 3 pm together with the nation’s girl group BINI to seek cash and in-kind donations. The foundation has also posted its bank accounts and partners where they can donate for those affected by the storm.

TV5

TV5’s Alagang Kapatid has also launched its call for donations for the victims of the storm.

Bangon Pilipinas Movement

Bangon Pilipinas Movement has also been active in seeking donations and will accept them until October 26.

Red Cross Philippines

Red Cross Philippines is also seekign donations and some of its staff have been dispatched to different parts of Bicol region, Calabarzon, and Northern Luzon. Hot meals have also been cooked for them.

Caritas Manila

Caritas Manila is seeking donations for the victims of the storm especially in the Bicol region and Quezon.

Singer Arthur Nery, who is holding a concert at the Araneta Coliseum on October 25 also partnered with Caritas Mania, wherein part of the proceeds from the concert and merchandise will be donated. Donation boxes will also be in placed during the concert where concertgoers can drop their donations.

McDonalds Philippines

McDonalds through its CSR Ronald McDonalds House Charities distributed 5,000 meals to those affected by the storm and continues to ask help so they can send more.
