Raising Green: How Joolz is Growing a Future for Families and the Planet
Through its ‘one stroller, one tree’ mission, Joolz Philippines teaches modern parents that sustainability starts at home
For new parents, a baby stroller is an essential companion for everyday adventures. For the parents-to-be, it’s something they consider when their bundle of joy arrives.
However, with so many choices, today’s modern parents look for one that can truly stand the test of time — a stroller that lasts through years of use and can even be handed down to friends or family.
Since its founding in Amsterdam in 2005 by Emile Kuenen, Joolz has earned a global reputation for crafting high-quality, sustainable strollers. True to its mission of “positive design,” Joolz aims to create products that not only support families but also care for the planet.

Joolz’s Mission and Legacy
At the heart of Joolz’s sustainability effort is the Joolz Birth Forest — a program that plants a tree for every stroller sold. These forests are spread across different regions around the world where Joolz has found a loyal following, symbolizing growth, hope, and a shared commitment to future generations.
The Philippine Initiative and Its Impact
Carrying on this global mission, Joolz Philippines recently held a tree-planting activity at the U.P. Laguna Quezon Land Grant last October 11. Together with members of the Fostering Education & Environment for Development, Inc. (FEED) — an NGO dedicated to supporting underprivileged students pursuing environmental studies — Joolz Philippines employees planted over 400 seedlings.
Since its establishment in February 2024, Joolz Philippines has pledged to plant one tree for every stroller purchased locally.
“This fulfilled the commitment we made at our brand launch in February 2024 — planting one additional tree in the Philippines for every stroller sold,” the company shared on Instagram.

A Brand That Gives Back
Beyond tree planting, Joolz ensures that its strollers are made from sustainable materials and packaged in recyclable boxes that can be repurposed into creative activities. Each stroller also comes with a 10-year transferable warranty, allowing families to pass it on to others once their children outgrow it. It’s a gesture that promotes both environmental responsibility and community sharing.
A Stroller Worth Investing In
For first-time parents looking for a stroller that reflects their values, Joolz offers more than just style and functionality — it offers a way to make a difference.
Every stroller purchased helps nurture the planet our children will inherit. Through initiatives like the Birth Forest and the Philippine tree-planting project, Joolz is helping ensure that future generations have a greener, healthier world to grow and play in.
