The Last Of Us Season 2 is Definitely Happening!
Just after two episodes, The Last Of Us receives the green light for Season 2!
After watching that tear-jerking episode where Joel (played by Pedro Pascal) loses his daughter, Sarah Miller, in a cross-fire and the recent rewrite of the Frank and Bill love story, we’re jumping with joy as The Last Of Us is definitely confirmed for Season 2! The official account tweeted last January 28, 2023 that they’ve just got a green light for it. It looks like we’ll have to stock up more on tissues because there are more tear-jerkers incoming. For those who played the game, no spoilers please!

The Last of Us Season 2 fans: “Brb. Trying not to cry.”
As parents, it’s hard for us to appreciate video games, especially ones involving zombies. But when the game turned into a series, we now have a bit of insight as to why we found our kids crying in front of their PlayStation 4 or 5. We see Joel’s frustration boiling as he deals with his strained relationship with Ellie and comes to terms with Tess’s death. It doesn’t help either that the actress playing Tess Servopoulos, Annie Wersching, a boy-mom of two, passed away recently after a long battle with cancer as confirmed by The Last of Us’ co-creator Neil Druckman.
Just found out my dear friend, Annie Wersching, passed away. We just lost a beautiful artist and human being. My heart is shattered. Thoughts are with her loved ones.

Many popular video game adaptations lost out because of their lack of faithfulness to the franchise, which is probably why some gamer kids and parents alike have ranted about a few titles and stopped using Netflix. Others weren’t too sad about it as another video game adaptation is coming out with a famous fan being one of the producers on Amazon Prime. But The Last of Us Season 2 is what happens when the producers listen to its fans and developers: it’s a masterpiece!
It’s worth the watch and something to cry with your kids about.
The Last of Us story has a lot more tear-jerkers, and it’s a more emotional ride for the many who played the game. There is a reason this franchise won Game of the Year and an award for storytelling. It’s a game that takes parenting as part of the story, revealing the complexities and how it changes a person. Especially when a parent needs to move on and live with Survivor’s Guilt. We can’t wait for The Last of Us Season 2!
