Four Other Cinemalaya Films Families Can Check Out In August
Cinemalaya released the other trailers of films that share the story of different families
Filipino independent films will take the spotlight this August with the opening of Cinemalaya. Aside from Love Child and Balota, four other films from the full length and short length will tackle the story of families from August 2 to 11.
Here are the other films to watch out for during Cinemalaya:
Primetime Mother
Helmed by Sonny Calvento, the film tells the story of a mother whose tenacity and fortitude are tested by a TV show’s audition process.
Mama
This film tells the story of two mothers who try to navigate life after losing their children to the war on drugs.
The Hearing
Directed by Lawrence Fajardo, The Hearing dives into a deaf boy embroiled in a legal battle. The boy crosses paths with a court sign language interpreter who can speak but is voiceless in her own home.
This Cinemalaya film stars Mylene Dizon.
