Top 10 Candies That Make Your Home the Best Trick-or-Treat Destination

Halloween’s coming up and if you want your home to be the #1 trick-or-treat destination, here are some candies your house should be giving out.

As things begin to go back to normal, some of the more traditional ways of celebrating Halloween are coming back as well—such as trick-or-treating! We want our kids to enjoy the things we also used to do on Halloween—whether it’s watching scary movies or scouring for candy. But trick-or-treating needs everyone involved and here are the top candies to make kids smile when they trick-or-treat:

1. Oreos

Oreo

Twist, lick, and dunk is the name of the game with Oreos and they are a true classic. Enjoyed with either milk or as a TV snack, it’s the favorite of kids especially when they go trick-or-treating. The best way to make the most of these Oreo packets is to buy them in bulk.

2. Kitkat Chocolate

Although Toblerone and Snickers would have been good choices, nobody wants to trigger a peanut or a nut allergy. Stick to Kitkat instead which is made of chocolate wafers.

3. Markenburg Marshmallows

Marshmallows are so versatile, especially Halloween-themed ones. Whether it’s for trick-or-treat or to decorate a new baking creation, marshmallows are a kid’s favorite when placed in a cup with a bag of chocolate milk powder for hot chocolate.

4. Whattatops

Not the typical candy but they do come in different flavors which can spook up your trick-or-treat roster of candy. Moreover, they’re usually sold in bulk which is a lot easier than buying candies per piece. Besides, it’s been a favored snack in schools for years.

5. Pochi

Pochi

The classic pink candy still makes its way to the top 10 as an easy sugar burst and snack for kids. Pochi is an old-school candy that has strawberries and sugar, which is a good break from the typical chocolates and cream-based candies.

6. Mars Chocolate Bar

Mars

Another one of the chocolate bars, Mars has a caramel nougat filling that is coated in chocolate. These are usually sold in bulk and in smaller sizes so that it’s easier to give out during trick-or-treat.

7. Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups

Reese’s

As one of the top-selling candies for trick-or-treating in the US, it’ll definitely set you apart from the other houses when the kids go out scouring for candy.

8. Pocky

The ever-entertaining Pocky is a big sign that the people in the house know their candy. They also come in different flavors like Matcha, Cookies or Cream, Strawberry, and Chocolate. They’re easy to find in your local Daiso store or even in the supermarket.

9. M&M Chocolates

M&M

M&Ms have a variety of flavors and are a nice change of pace compared to the usual Skittles and Nips. Skittles has a more fruity flavor while Nips are the usual giveaway for trick-or-treating. M&Ms also come in small packets and have wafer flavor, peanut flavor, or your usual milk chocolate one.

10. Chips Ahoy

Chips Ahoy

Cookies will always be a crowd-pleaser during trick-or-treating. When it comes to the treats, there needs to be a balance between what’s delicious and what’s large in size. Chips Ahoy has big cookies and they’re easy to find, too.

Trick-or-Treating is a community activity!

With kids stuck at home for the last two years, they weren’t able to experience an authentic trick-or-treating experience except maybe in the mall. But if the village or condominium is planning to hold one, join in the fun! Let the kids experience something we all enjoyed in our childhood.
