Vegan and Safe Nail Polishes For Moms and Daughters

We’re often hesitant to paint our nails because of the chemicals. But here are some vegan nail polishes that are safe to use.

Painting our nails has and will always be a form of bonding—especially among mothers and daughters. While some of us are hesitant to paint our nails because of the kind of work we do, there are some who would enjoy making their nails look pretty. Here are some vegan nail polishes to make sure our nails look like jewels. These are safe to use on our little girls, too!

1. HUE Manila

HUE Manila's Polytint Collection of vegan nail polish makes our nails look gorgeous.

HUE Manila has a vegan nail polish collection known as the Polytint Collection. Unlike other nail polish collections, HUE Manila focuses on more pastel and neutral shades, making them match dark or light wardrobes. Even if we’re all wearing black, their colors pop.

2. Nami Natural

Nami Natural has a variety of colors—from pastels to sharper ones. Their vegan nail polish is known to be water-based and non-toxic after being tested in several German laboratories and earning a certification from PETA to be cruelty-free.

3. Sally Hansen

Sally Hansen is often found in pharmacies for their hair removal products. But now, they also feature vegan nail polish. Under the Nail Color collection, Sally Hansen’s “Good. Kind. Pure” collection has around 50 shades to choose from. These are available in Rustan’s.

4. Jolie Vegan

Jolie Vegan is an international brand but their nail polishes are 10-free—meaning they don’t use any of the usual harmful chemicals found in nail polishes. They’ve also been certified by PETA abroad that they are cruelty-free. Each bottle costs around $9 USD which is around PHP 450.00 to PHP 499.00 per bottle.

All hail the prettiest and cruelty-free nails!

As we become more mindful of what chemicals go into cosmetics or makeup, it’s up to us whether or not we want to pay the price for it. But in the long run, supporting these kinds of products like vegan nail polish can help avoid the yellowing of nails after constant nail painting and create more bonding moments between moms and daughters.
