Fabio Ide’s reel of his two daughters meeting shows just how beautiful it is for sisters to meet for the first time.

Celebrity parents Fabio Ide and Ellen Fröjd haven’t been shy about sharing the journey of the twins Maya and Luna who were born premature. Because of some complications, the babies needed to stay in the NICU and incubator for a while so they could do a bit of catching up on development. However, Maya recently just “graduated” from the NICU and went home with Fabio and Ellen. Once home, Fabio recorded their eldest daughter, Dannie’s, reaction and it got us gushing with how heartwarming it is.

Meeting a new sibling from precarious beginnings

Introducing siblings (or the concept of having one) is a long, arduous process of helping children understand the feelings of someone not yet there. But it gets even more difficult when there are a lot of complications and the child is witness to it. But that’s what Fabio Ide and Ellen Fröjd seemed to have done right because Dannie just gushed and swooned at the sight of her new baby sister.

Helping kids understand pregnancy complications (especially when many of us are non-practitioners) is a task that’s best undertaken with the rest of the family. While mom is managing both the unborn baby and the already existing one, dad has to handle everything else from running the house, dealing with the in-laws, and managing the existing kid to make sure the stress doesn’t add anything else.

The happy days will begin for them soon

Although Luna appears to still be in the NICU, it’s a massive weight off Ellen’s and Fabio’s chest to have Maya come home safe and sound. The fear of seeing how badly being a month or two months short of full-term affects their babies is debilitating. It keeps us awake at night and makes us wonder if there truly is Someone out there, keeping them safe. Still, it’s a small win for them as Fabio Ide and Ellen Fröjd wait for all their three daughters to come home and celebrate being a family of five.
