What To Expect From The Renovated Museo Pambata
The children’s museum gets an overhaul as it reopens to the public beginning December 6
Museo Pambata has brought many memories for those who have visited the museum. After its temporary closure due to the pandemic, it is once again opening its doors to the public starting December 6.
Museo Pambata founder Nina Yuson, along with the board members led by Bambi Mañosa-Tanjutco and Sofia Zobel-Elizalde thanked the guests and media present to showcase the new offer of the museum. Yuson expressed how grateful they are that the museum is ready to receive guests again after its temporary closure with a new look.

“Generations of children have passed through Museo Pambata’s doors, and this anniversary honors them—and those yet to come,” she said.
Tanjutco explained that they want the museum to show today’s kids the culture of the country.
“As Museo Pambata remains a constant beacon of light and hope for the Filipino child, it is creating this space to pass down and regenerate wisdom that is so valuable. It’s where we want Filipinos of all ages to believe in the power of our culture and collectively dream of this future today,” she shared.
New spaces have been added to the museum, with new rooms set to open in the first quarter of 2025. Museo Pambata still has that old touch but is welcoming to the future for the new generation of kids.

The child in all of us
For 30 years, Museo Pambata has been where kids go to play, learn about Philippine culture, and let parents go back to when they were kids. More than being a kid again, Museo Pambata champions the importance of education, something that can be passed to future generations of children.
Aside from the new areas Museo Pambata, there are other activities families can join as part of the museum’s anniversary. Activities include Sikat Sining and Dulaan Pambata. On January 25, 2025, a Parada Pambata will commence and in February, a Pelikula Pambata will be part of the line-up.
“We are so excited for its re-opening to be able to share its new features found in its new “Bakuran,” to introduce a newly renovated play ground, Bahay Kubo 2.0, its Tutubing Bakal and a brand new Balay Yatu, an open space for children events, celebrations, workshops, and creative activities,” Sofia Elizalde said. “We can’t wait to invite all children back to enjoy this iconic museum that has given so much joy to past generations and that will continue for the many years to come!”
