Where to Get Comfy School Shoes For Kids

It’s back to school again and our kids are going to need a new pair of school shoes!

All of us grew up wearing classic black school shoes with our uniforms. These were the shoes that we ran, jumped, hopped, and played games with besides our usual white rubber shoes that matched with our PE uniforms. And with schools encouraging more outdoor activities for their students, our kids are going to need school shoes that can handle all activities but still be comfortable for them to wear.

1. Skechers

What we love about Skechers is the additional memory foam inside its shoes. Their sneakers have something called a “heel pillow” which will cushion the shock and impact from all our children’s running. But the best part is that also they used that same technology for all their shoes, including their black flats that look like those trendy Mary Janes to pass off as the classic school shoe.

2. Dr. Kong

Dr. Kong prioritizes comfort and they make both sneakers and casual shoes that kids can use for school. In their store, they usually have a foot analyzer that looks for the pressure points at the soles of the feet. Then, they custom-fit the in-sole with arch supports to make walking more comfortable!

3. Cora and Bear

For something more contemporary and chic-looking instead of the usual rugged school shoe, Cora and Bear have the Nona Mary Jane line made from a variety of materials including velvet, genuine leather, and patent leather. These shoes are handcrafted by a family-owned shoe-making business in Marikina City, the shoe capital of the Philippines.

4. Adidas

Adidas has the famous Superstar shoes in black or white for kids, making it pass as both a regular school shoe and a PE shoe. Its simple and timeless design allows it to grow up with our kids. Or at least, until they destroy the shoe because they wear it 24/7 or their feet outgrow it. They also have the Superstar in all black so the boys won’t be sanctioned for wearing a strange shoe with their uniform.

5. Florsheim Kids

If our boys need dressier leather shoes, Florsheim has them for both dads and sons. More famous for their loafers and boat shoes, they also have classy lace-up shoes that don’t just fall off when the boys get rowdy. And if they want to stand out a little, they have stylish Oxford shoes they can also wear with suits or barongs for formal events.

Because our kids are always bouncing all over the place, they are going to need shoes that can handle that kind of beating. Most especially when they spend long days in school, comfortable school shoes can prevent aching feet, legs, sprains, and strains that could distract our kids while they’re studying.
