Where Moms can Donate or Receive Breast Milk in the Philippines
Here are places moms can go to donate or receive breastmilk in the Philippines!
Breast milk is a vital source of nutrition for infants, especially those who are premature, sick, or whose mothers are unable to breastfeed. Fortunately, several institutions across the Philippines facilitate breast milk donations and provide donor milk to infants in need.

1. St. Luke’s Medical Center – Quezon City & Global City
As pioneers in promoting breastfeeding, St. Luke’s established a Human Milk Bank in 2014. They accept donations from lactating mothers and provide pasteurized donor milk to infants who require it. The bank operates under the Department of Health’s Infant and Young Child Feeding Program.
2. Quezon City General Hospital (QCGH) Human Milk Bank
Located in Brgy. Bahay Toro, QCGH’s Human Milk Bank offers multiple donation options:
- Walk-in Donations: Visit the facility directly.
- Milk Pick-up Service: Schedule a pick-up by contacting them.
- Milk Letting Activities: Participate in scheduled milk collection events at various health centers and lying-ins around Quezon City.
They also provide pasteurized human milk to infants in need, requiring a clinical abstract and a prescription from a pediatrician.
3. Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) – Davao City
SPMC invites lactating mothers to donate their excess breast milk to support premature and sick newborns. They offer home pick-up services within Davao City and replace milk bags upon drop-off or pick-up. Donors are screened via phone or online, and instructions are provided on how to collect and store donated breast milk.
4. Muntinlupa City Human Milk Bank
Opened in August 2025, Muntinlupa’s first human milk bank is located at the Ospital ng Muntinlupa (OsMun). They are open for donations from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Mothers interested in donating can contact them at 0912-857-5398 or (02) 771-0457.
5. SM Human Milk Depots – SM City San Lazaro & SM City Manila
Working together with the Department of Health and the Human Milk Bank Association of the Philippines, SM Supermalls launched the Human Milk Depot Initiative last February 2025. These depots, located in select SM malls, provide a convenient drop-off point for breast milk donations. They aim to increase participation in breast milk donation and improve infant health outcomes.

Putting the “liquid gold” to good use
If there are moms who can’t breastfeed, then the opposite is also true: there are moms who have to keep pumping milk. The condition, known as Hyperlactation Syndrome, usually bothers mom with strong milk flow and engorged breasts. To ease the discomfort, they produce extra bags of liquid gold and donate them to moms who can’t breastfeed.
Some celebrity moms, like beauty queen Sharifa Akeel, have donated and advocated for it.
Breastfeeding struggles may be a part of motherhood, but nobody said that moms need to do it alone. For every mom struggling with either too much liquid gold or too little, we hope that these places can help you get the breastmilk your baby needs.
