Andres And Atasha Muhlach Share What’s Like Working As A Family In First Sitcom

Andres and Atasha Muhlach get candid about doing Da Pers Family with their parents Aga Muhlach and Charlene Gonzalez

Andres and Atasha Muhlach are finally sharing the screen with their parents Aga Muhlach and Charlene Gonzalez in the sitcom Da Pers Family on TV5. This is the first time they’ll be working with their parents on a TV project and it has been fun for the twins.

Although Atasha entered showbiz last year, Andres entered the industry this year after completing his studies abroad. The twins along with their parents and the cast recently answered questions from the press about the show and what is like working as a family in a show.

Andres and Atasha on doing their first sitcom

Asked about the first moments they’ve done for the show, Andres and Atasha shared their feelings on working with their parents.

“This is the first sitcom that we’ve ever done or even acted together as a family na may linya, may script,” Atasha said. ” And we get to spend the whole day together taping.”

The singer and Eat Bulaga host added it’s her first time to be in a sitcom set, describing a “mini village or town.”

Andres meanwhile points out it’s his first project. “I am grateful that I am with all of these people. I’m really happy an bawat eksena naman it’s always new. I’m learning something and I’m just excited.”

Although he has worked with his parents in commercials, Andres shared that he finds it easy that he’s working with his parents for his first show.

Are Charlene and Aga Stage Parents?

During the interview with the press, the twins were also asked whether their parents were ever stage parents.

” We don’t see them as stage parents,” Andres said. ” We just see them as parents – the people we spend [with], the loved ones we see daily, and the ones we miss.”

” Di naman sila stage parents but we just see them talaga as our loved ones – the ones we look up to, the ones we appreciate.”

“They will always guide us with everything,” Atasha said. ” And they will never try to tell us like what we did here was wrong…it was never about the work but it’s really about your morals and person who you are. So I wouldn’t say stage parents but actual true to-life responsible and warm-hearted parents.”

The Da Pers Family also tells the story of a family that owns a bakery as they try to pay Aga’s debt. Although they own a bakery, it won’t be easy as Carl, Aga’s ex-best friend makes their lives hard due to his grudge against Aga.

The sitcom premieres on TV5 on July 21.
