The singer confirms she is expecting her first child during an interview with host Boy Abunda
Singer Angeline Quinto confirmed that she is expecting her first child during an interview with Boy Abunda, Friday, December 10.
In the interview, Angeline answered a question regarding a recent Instagram post wherein she said she was entering a new chapter in her life.
“Kaya ko po na post iyon dahil kay Mama Bob at pangalawa po kasi magiging nanay na din ako,” she said referring to her late mother.
(The reason why I posted that was because of Mama Bob and the second is that I will become a mom.)
She admitted that she was scared in the beginning when she found out about the pregnancy.
“Natakot ako noong una kasi, sa totoo lang, hindi ko pa nga alam tingnan yung positive at negative sa pregnancy test, kasi nasanay ako sa swab,” she said.
(I got scared in the beginning because, to be honest, I did not know how to look if it was positive or negative in the pregnancy test because I got used to the swab.)
She later researched about it and confirmed that when it’s two lines, it was positive. She also admitted that she got worried about how to tell everyone about the news until she told her manager.
The baby is set to arrive in April 2022.
Understanding each other
As to who is the father of the child, Angeline did not mention his name but said that she met him through the boyfriend of another friend. They have been together for a year. She also mentioned that he met her late mom.
She added that she’s aware that the relationship she is in now has complications
“Sinabi din naman niya sa akin na yung mga past niya kasi meron din po siyang anak sa ibang babae.”
(He also told me of his past because he also has kids from a previous relationship.)
The guy she said is not married.
When Boy asked what’s best about the relationship, Angeline said: “Siguro and daming bagay sa buhay ko na naiintindihan niya ako, kahit hindi kami pareho ng trabaho di ba. Kapag nakakausap ko naman siya, alam ko na merong taong pagkakatiwalaan mo na nakikinig sa iyo sa mga kailangan [ko].”
She also shared that he told her he will be there for her even after the death of her mom.
“Alam niya kung sino si Mama Bob sa buhay ko. Hindi man daw niya mapantayan yung pagmamahal ng nanay ko kahit pangalawa lang,” she said.
(He knows how Mama Bob is important in my life. He might not be able to match that love my mom gave me but at least he can give it.)
