Arlene Muhlach Graduates From College At 55
Actress Arlene Muhlach is the latest celebrity to join the class of 2024 as she graduates from college at the Philippine Women’s University
Nothing is more fulfilling than getting that diploma you worked hard for many years. Actress Arlene Muhlach knows this well, as she finally got her college diploma at 55 from the Philippine Women’s University.
Arlene shared the story of going back to school and the joy of getting the diploma at last.
Long time coming
Arlene shared on Instagram how she stopped during her third year due to showbiz work. ” I stopped my college studies in my third year many years ago when work was offered to me. Then my family came, and my priorities changed.”
“Proving that it is never too late to fulfill a longstanding goal, I now have a degree in Bachelor of Arts in Communication from [the] Philippine Women’s University.”
She graduated under the Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP). Arlene thanked her classmates and professors for being patient with her many questions including experiencing a bit of the campus life.
She also gave special mention to her husband Warren Dandoy and kids Aliyah and Augusto.
“Thank you to my husband @warrendandoy and children @aliyah.dandoy @augustomuhlachd who boosted my morale when I was ready to give up.”
“To my officemates at the IRS in the Commission on Appointments who were patient in helping me pursue this dream, you are appreciated.”
Age is a number and you can go for anything
Arlene ended her post by saying: ” Age is just a number, determination and passion are what truly matters.”
She got several congratulatory messages including actress Ruffa Gutierrez, who also graduated from the same university and is about to finish her masters.
“Congrats!! happy for you Ate Arlene!!!” Ruffa wrote in the comments section. Arlene in return thanked her for encouraging her to return to school.
Other friends include Tweetie de Leon-Gonzalez, Nadia Montenegro, Rita Avila, Edu Manzano, Lara Quigaman, and Marjorie Barretto. Her sister Almira and niece Alyssa also congratulated her.
While some opt not to finish school, others like Arlene showed that learning never stops and can always be continued. Congratulations!
