Some good news for Bluey fans! BBC Studio announced that they’re releasing an album known as Bluey: The Rug Island on October 25!

The album contains 16 songs by the series’ composer Joff Bush and the Bluey music team. The debut song “Octopus” was released last August 2.

What the album is about?

According to the announcement, Bluey: The Rug Island is a ” playful journey through the imaginations of sisters Bluey and Bingo.” The album is derived from the Rug Island episode, where children play and parents embrace their inner child.

“The album plays out with these little versions of Rug Island, which are like little journeys into the world of the kids’ imagination, and their games and what they play,” Joff Bush said.

Here’s the list of songs that will be included in the album:

  • Bluey Theme Tune (Vocal Version)
  • Rug Island, Pt. 1

Worldwide attention

Since it was first launched in 2018 in Australia, Bluey has gained a lot of attention among families. Celebrities like Natalie Portman, Eva Mendes, and Lin-Manuel Miranda have even made cameos in some of its episodes.

Bluey tells the story of a “loveable, inexhaustible, Blue Heeler dog, who lives with her Mum, Dad, and her little sister, Bingo. In the show, Bluey uses her limitless energy to play games that unfold in unpredictable and hilarious ways, bringing her family and the whole neighborhood into her world of fun.”

Aside from streaming sites on October 25 worldwide, Bluey: The Rug Island will also be available through CD, sunset orange vinyl and 7,000 copies of a limited-edition vinyl picture disc.

The sleeve captures this scene from “Rug Island,” with the reverse of the sleeve connecting
together with the previous albums to form a panoramic image of the Heeler’s home. Album artwork
