Cover the white furniture in plastic. Our lolas were onto something when they covered their white linens and furniture with plastic. Not only were the stains easy to wipe off, but the sofa always looked clean, too.
Vinegar or hydrogen peroxide will be your best friend for removing those oxidized, discoloring stains. Hydrogen peroxide—at least 3%—with some water ought to do the trick.
Bleach is also the usual go-to for removing oxidized stains, but the chemicals can be poisonous for kids and pets.
