From Crowns to Cradles: Beauty Queens Turn First-Time Moms
They once wore crowns and represented their nations with pride. Today, they embrace a different but equally powerful role—motherhood
From the glittering stages of international pageants to the quiet moments of early parenthood, these beauty queens have made a graceful transition. They’ve brought home crowns, and served as global ambassadors of goodwill, and now, they’re welcoming tiny bundles of joy into their lives. Some are relishing their new roles as first-time moms, while others are eagerly preparing for the arrival of their little ones.
Here are some of the queens we’ve watched grow—and are now watching grow their families.
Megan Young, Miss World 2013
The Philippines’ first-ever Miss World, Megan Young, added a new role to her impressive resume this May: first-time mom. She and Mikael Daez are now parents to their son, Leon, and have since been soaking up the joy of parenthood.
Though Megan has stepped back from the spotlight, she continues to connect with fans through her and Mikael’s podcast and social media, offering honest glimpses into their early parenting experiences.

Laura Lehmann, Miss World Philippines 2017
Another queen-turned-mom is TV host Laura Lehmann, who gave birth to daughter Solana in May with husband and PBA player Von Pessumal.
Laura has been sharing her candid journey into motherhood on Instagram, including an intimate look at her breastfeeding experience. Her heartfelt posts resonate with many new moms navigating similar moments.

Demi-Leigh Tebow, Miss Universe 2017
South African beauty and Miss Universe 2017 Demi-Leigh Tebow announced on July 7 that she and her husband, Tim Tebow, welcomed their daughter Daphne Reign.
“Daphne is a name that’s been close to my heart since I was a little girl. I never got to meet my mom’s mother, but her sister, Daphne, stepped in as a grandma figure to me. She was so special to my mom and I — a tiny, kind and strong South African woman who always had shortbread in the house, was the epitome of grit and grace, loved Jesus, had the voice of an angel, and made everyone feel seen and special.,” she said of the name.
“And Reign… It’s a name that holds so much meaning. It’s inspired by a precious little girl, Tim and I have loved deeply for years. Her story has shaped our hearts in ways I can’t even begin to explain. But more than anything, her name reminds us that when you’re adopted into God’s family, you become a child of the King. You were made to rule and reign—not in power, but in purpose, love, and identity.”
In one recent post, Demi gave a sneak peek of their nursery, thoughtfully designed with elements of her South African heritage, a beautiful nod to her roots as she prepares for motherhood.

Olivia Culpo, Miss Universe 2012
Model and Miss Universe 2012 Olivia Culpo is also expecting her first child with NFL star Christian McCaffrey. The couple recently tied the knot and are now preparing to grow their family.
Beyond pageantry, Olivia has built a lifestyle brand, working as an actress, influencer, and entrepreneur. With her strong family ties and a grounded approach to fame, there’s no doubt she’ll bring that same intention into motherhood.

Krystyna Pyszková, Miss World 2024
Just a month after passing her crown to Miss World 2025, Krystyna Pyszková of the Czech Republic announced she was expecting her first child.
Krystyna confirmed the news when she posted a photo with the caption: “ One chapter has finished… another one is starting.”

Aside from modeling Krystyna has been active with her charity called Psyzko Foundation, where she focuses on empowering individuals through its different educational programs.
From Queens to Moms
Though they’ve traded sashes for swaddles, their reign continues—this time in the world of motherhood. These women show us that beauty, strength, and purpose don’t end with the crown. They simply evolve.
As they embrace sleepless nights and first giggles, one thing is certain: their next chapter might be the most meaningful one yet.
