Not A Drill! Manila is Now A Stop For the Fall Out Boy’s Concert!

Overcast Kids (now parents), rejoice as Fall Out Boy has officially added Manila as part of their concert tour!

After their long hiatus since 2013, Fall Out Boy’s coming back strong for the Overcast Kids of the Philippines with a concert at Smart Araneta Coliseum this coming December 9, 2023! After some smashing hits with some of our other favorite stars like the Backstreet Boys, Harry Styles, and Bruno Mars, this one’s for the rocker parents who have been jamming to these boys’ tunes since their grade school days.

“Manila!” Fall Out Boy writes, “Comin’ through on December 9th at Smart Araneta Coliseum to play our first show in the Philippines since 2013!”

According to their official Instagram, tickets for their upcoming concert will be available on September 24, 2023. They’re also teasing a visit to another Southeast Asian country and we’re excited to find out where!

We’re here for Fall Out Boy’s comeback!

The rock band released the great news on both their Twitter and Instagram a few hours ago, earning shares, retweets, and even a long list of comments from their fans in other Southeast Asian countries. Some Overcast Kid parents from Singapore are crossing their fingers and praying that the band stops by when they come over to the Philippines.

When boybands began laying low, rock bands like Fall Out Boy, Boys Like Girls, My Chemical Romance, Panic! At The Disco filled our radios and cars with their tunes to keep us going. Most likely, the rocker boys (who are also dads themselves) will be promoting their latest album: So Much (for) Stardust which the boys share is “not a throwback album.” Instead, it’s a peek into the “what if” moment they had before they went silent.

“I didn’t want to go back to a specific style. But I wanted to imagine what would it have sounded like if we had made a record right after ‘Folie à Deux’ [Fall Out Boy’s divisive 2009 album] instead of taking a break for a few years,” shares Stump in an interview with NME. “It was like exploring the multiverse. It was an experiment in seeing what we would have done.”

Time to bang the Doldrums with their newest tunes!

Although their classic songs will always hold a special place in our hearts, their new tunes are definitely just as good. Some of their new songs such as Heartbreak Feels So Good and Love From The Other Side have already earned millions of plays on Spotify at 22.6 Million and 31.7 Million respectively. Their album on Spotify also offers a peek at one of their tributes to a classic: Billy Joel’s We Didn’t Start The Fire but with more updated lyrics.

We’re sure Fall Out Boy are thinking of playing some of their classic tunes during their concert but their new ones are just as good! We can’t wait for their songs to fill the airwaves!
