Geneva Cruz Graduates As Part of the Philippine Airforce Reservist Command
Singer and actress Geneva Cruz joins a number of celebrities who have trained under the Philippine military after receiving her badge.
Geneva Cruz has just added the title of sergeant to her growing list of achievements. On Wednesday, March 9, the Little Princess actress and singer shared that she has finished her training under the Philippine Airforce as a reservist.
“Respect. Loyalty. Honor. Big words I learned as a kid but never really truly fully grasped—until now. I have always been fascinated by the mystique and allure of a soldier’s charmed life. There’s something about their aura that’s appealing and engaging to me,” she wrote on Instagram.
Although she has been fascinated by the life of a soldier, Geneva said she did not know the hard work until she took part in the training.
“I realized that you never really get to understand a soldier’s life until you step in their boots. Today, I step in my boots and flaunt my badge as a proud member of the Philippine Air Force’s reserve command.”
“It’s been said that the unexamined life is not worth living, and I agree. But today, as I grow bolder, wiser, and take up the cudgels for women’s empowerment, I say that a meaningful life is worth dying for,” she said.

Geneva continued that she’s grateful for taking part in the training and challenged those who will criticize her decision.
“No, this isn’t a movie or a teleserye; it’s real life. If you have doubts if I truly deserve this badge… Maybe you should enlist, too; it’s time to put your money where your mouth is, and It’s never too late to make something out of your life instead of belittling and frowning upon another person’s passions and truth,” she said.
She thanked her classmates for teaching the true meaning of brotherhood and dedicated it to her late mom and kids.
“Thank you, Flight Charlie, for the true meaning of brotherhood; I will never forget all of you. This goes out to my mama in heaven, my children, and me. Sergeant Cruz, ready to serve and protect.”
Her former Smokey Mountain batchmates Jeffrey Hildago and Tony Lambino were also present to give her moral support during the graduation.
Celebrities in the Army
Geneva is the latest showbiz personality who enlisted as a reservist. Previous stars and personalities who took part in military training include Dingdong Dantes, Rocco Nacino, Arci Muñoz, JM de Guzman, Miss Universe Philippines 2021 Beatrice Luigi Gomez, and Winwyn Marquez, who is set to become a mom soon.
Truly, these celebrities are not just showing their loyalty to the country via their talent but also giving more to the country.
Congratulations Geneva!
