Godfrey And Carla Guevara-Laforteza Beam With Pride On Daughter Sophia

Chef Godfrey shares a photo of his reunion with daughter Sophia, who is part of the rising group Katseye!

Chef Godfrey Laforteza recently celebrated his birthday and nothing was more special than seeing his daughter Sophia in Manila.

In case you don’t know, Sophia is part of the rising multinational group Katseye, known for their song “Touch,” which become a viral sensation worldwide. The group is in the country for a series of performances.

Chef Godfrey shared the photo of him and his daughter on Instagram with the caption: ” My Best Birthday Gift Eeeevvvvaahhhh this year!”

Carla Guevara-Laforteza, meanwhile, took time off from her theater performance duties to be with Sophia, and she shared photos from the group’s media conference on September 17. She also shared some pictures with fellow moms of the other Katseye members who are in Manila on Instagram.

Bonding with the moms

In an interview with the media at the sideline of Katseye’s media conference, Carla shared that she has bonded with the other moms of Katseye members, establishing a group chat.

“We’re just so proud of our daughters and we call each one of them our daughters. We made a pact that whichever country they go to, there should always be a mom that’s there,” she said.

Pointing out that she made the initiative for them to bond, Carla said that in the end, they are just there to guide their children and that their children’s personalities should shine.

Take note to parents out there whose kids want to pursue music: support is a must and the couple have thrown it to Sophia since she competed in a reality show to be part of the group.

Aside from Sophia, other Katseye members include Lara, Yoonchae, Megan, Daniela, and Manon. They are under HYBE Labels and Geffen Records.
