Grace and Lovi Poe’s Loving Sisterhood Shines In Lovi’s Wedding
During a speech during Lovi Poe’s wedding, Senator Grace Poe said their dad Fernando Poe Jr. would have been proud to see his daughter walk down the aisle.
Senator Grace Poe delivered a touching message for her sister, actress Lovi Poe, who married Montgomery Blencowe in England over the weekend.
In a reel posted by Tim Yap, Grace was heard about the first time she met Lovi. “I never knew that I had a sister until our dad passed away,” she said of their father, actor Fernando Poe Jr., who died in 2004. “And being an only girl, well, I knew I had a brother. I didn’t care because it was a guy,” she joked referring to their other sibling Ronian.
According to Grace, when she met Lovi, she found a “really young innocent child, weeping for our dad.”
“I felt so sad and so maternal. I could say maternal because Lovi is just a few years older than my son.”
“So I felt at that time not have I only gained a sister. I almost felt I had another child. Because I see the qualities of the father I loved.”
Grace Poe to Lovi: Dad would have been proud
Grace continued by saying that their dad would have loved to walk Lovi down the aisle. “He would really be proud of you. You’re beautiful, you’re very intelligent, and you’re strong. I know you can weather anything because you are the daughter of FPJ.”
Grace is the daughter of FPJ with actress Susan Roces. Lovi, meanwhile, is FPJ’s daughter with former actress Rowena Moran.
Lovi was recently seen in FPJ’s Batang Quiapo alongside Coco Martin.
