Here’s A Look At The Bluey X LEGO’s Collaboration
The LEGO x Bluey collection will be available for sale on its website starting June 1
We have all been waiting for this collaboration. In January, LEGO and BBC Studios announced it and now, they’ve released the first look of the Bluey collection they worked on together.
The six new collections under the LEGO Duplo and LEGO 4+ will be on sale starting June 1.
Exciting Times Ahead
Representatives from BBC Studio and LEGO expressed their excitement about the partnership.
“We are over the moon to bring the fun of Bluey to life with our new LEGO 4+ and LEGO DUPLO sets,” the Design Manager for LEGO DUPLO Bluey Roberta Cardazzo said in a statement. “ Just like Bluey and her family, these sets are all about having ‘Heaps of Fun’ and encouraging children and families to explore their creativity and imagination, all while learning through play. We hope families everywhere will enjoy building and playing together, creating their own memorable adventures!”
Suzy Lee Raia, SVP of Global Consumer Products at BBC Studios, shared that they are happy to see Bluey in the LEGO Brick form.
“Plus, Bluey is the first IP to be developed into both LEGO 4+ and LEGO DUPLO ranges, which is a testament to the show’s cross-generational appeal. With 154 episodes and 20 ‘Minisodes,’ there are countless memorable games, moments, and stories from the series that families all over the world can recreate and reimagine together with these fantastic sets.”
What the Bluey collection looks like
The Bluey X LEGO collection shows Bluey and her family in different ways. One of the LEGO Duplo collections shows Bluey on an Ice Cream trip. According to the release, the ice cream trip “helps children understand the emotions involved in enjoying a treat and sharing special moments together, offering a fun way for children to develop important skills while playing.”
The Bluey’s Family House with Memory Game meanwhile combines two different memory games. The Bluey’s Family House is packed with the show’s characters and includes easter eggs from some of the episodes.
Bluey, Bingo, and their mom Chili are basking in the sun in Bluey’s Beach & Family Car Trip. Also included in the collection are Playground Fun with Bluey and Chloe and Bluey Tea Party Recruitment bag.
Coming Soon: Bluey LEGO mobile game
But the toy collection isn’t the only collaboration BBC Studios and LEGO is working on. They are also developing a mobile game featuring Bluey to be published by StoryToys.
The game is targeted at kids 2 to 7 years old and will highlight the lessons and values kids can learn from the show. It will offer a digital fun experience and “ to align with young children’s developmental needs to support both emotional and cognitive development.”
Bluey tells the story of a “loveable, inexhaustible, Blue Heeler dog, who lives with her Mum, Dad, and her little sister, Bingo. In the show, Bluey uses her limitless energy to play games that unfold in unpredictable and hilarious ways, bringing her family and the whole neighborhood into her world of fun.”
It’s one of the most streamed children’s shows in the US. It has won several awards including the 2019 International Emmy Kids Award and the 2022 British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA) for the Children & Young People Award in the International Category.
