Jane De Leon Celebrates Her Mom’s Engagement
When a single mom like Marie De Leon finds love, her daughter, Jane, can’t help but celebrate it.
Finding our preferred kind of love is difficult, especially for single moms who have had their fair share of ups and downs in relationships. But when even the daughter approves, then, for sure the man is a keeper! Celebrity Jane De Leon celebrated her mom getting engaged while joking about the struggle, still in a bit of disbelief.
“Grabe yung effort and pagtatago namin para lang maging successful yung proposal hahaha because it was our first time to plan something special. Akala namin hindi na mangyayari pero it happened. Still can’t believe this,” Jane jokes.
The teenage dream
Every woman has a dream proposal. But they don’t always happen the way they should. However, with a little effort from a supportive daughter, even single moms can find love again. Although it took a little ducking and hiding, Jane de Leon along with her brother, Franz, helped create the perfect proposal for their mom at the base of the Tokyo Tower during sunset. He even left a message for his newly-engaged mom and his soon-to-be stepfather.
“Makita ka lang po naming masaya, masaya na rin po kami ma,” he writes for his mom while penning another statement for his soon-to-be stepfather. “Tito, I have nothing left to say. Nasabi ko na po sayo before.”
With both kids supporting the relationship, it’s a dream come true for single mom Marie de Leon!
“Please take care of her, Tito Cesar.”
Just like when they lost their father, the late Ruel De Leon, to cancer, both Franz and Jane de Leon supported their mother in finding love again. Marie had become their best friend over the years, especially as Jane’s career as an actress began to take off as 2022’s Darna. But like any child of a single parent who sees them finding love again, they echo the same sentiments: “Kapag masaya ka mama, masaya na rin ako.”
