Kryz Uy and Slater Young Expecting Baby Number 3!
On Christmas Eve, couple Kryz Uy and Slater Young announced an unexpected gift – baby number 3 due in 2024!
“Here we go again!” — this was the first reaction of couple Slater Young and Kryz Uy after finding out that they were expecting their third child.
In the short clip before their podcast discussion, the couple was seen excited, tense, and nervous as Kryz took the pregnancy test. They later hugged after confirming the pregnancy.
Initial reaction
During the podcast, Slater and Kryz discussed their initial reactions to the news.
“I thought we were done and here we go again,” Kryz said, mentioning they were done with two kids.
“Kailangan na natin uli bumili [ng baby stuff],” Slater pointed out with Kryz half-jokingly saying the baby was her husband’s Christmas gift.
Kryz, however, admitted it was bittersweet. “I’m happy and blessed that we have a kid, we will have a baby, it’s a blessing. But [I’m] also anxious and scared to have to go through it all over again.”
The digital creator added that she was worried about the memes of having her son Sevi as a middle child in the beginning and the challenges of juggling two kids and work. Slater echoed some of her sentiments, admitting he was worried for her health.
“For guys, it’s not that...grabe. But for girls, life changing siya. Not only are you the one carrying the child. But lahat: nung situations around that, nagbabago — your body and everything.”
The Pinoy Big Brother alumnus also pointed out that after nine months it doesn’t stop there with Kryz concluding the changes are forever.
Sevi and Scottie are ready for their new sibling
While the couple have their worries, Kryz also said that the baby is also showing the readiness of their sons Scottie and Sevi as big brothers.
“I think one of the special moments for me discovering that we are having another baby is [definitely] Scottie’s reaction to it,” she said. “The smile on his face was the most pure smile I’ve ever seen in my life.”
The video showed a clip of the couple announcing the news to Scottie who said he was praying for a baby and later hugged his parents.
The clip also showed Sevi kissing his mom’s tummy. Despite the anxiety in the next few months, the couple said they are determined to make things work with Slater saying he’s already thinking how to make them fit in their house.
The video also showed the reactions of their family and friends to the pregnancy. Their friends include Nicole Andersson, Lisa Kahayon, and sisters Verniece and Vern Enciso. The couple have yet to announce if they’re expecting a baby boy or girl. Both admitted they would love to have a girl in 2024.
“I feel it’s gonna be fun na magulo,” Slater said. “So I’m excited for that.”
