7 Liquors and Wines Parents Will Love During Christmas Parties

Here are some liquors and wines to add more cheer to your Christmas parties that every modern mom and dad will surely love.

Filipino families always have Christmas parties and with parties come some liquors and wines. Although beers, red wines, white wines, and champagnes are the traditional fan-favorite, some of those wines might not actually suit the dinner menu. Others might prefer to add more cheer by switching up the liquor for something else. If still choosing what liquors and wines to bring, here are tried, tested, and fan-favorite liquors and wines to make those Christmas parties more fun.

1. Kanto Salted Caramel Vodka

Vodka is known to have a strong, metallic taste. It is also one of the most common alcohols found in a bar. While most parties would mix vodka with fruits or juices, Kanto takes on a new spin with Salted Caramel instead! It offers a smooth, milky flavor with that mellow sweet tang that comes with the metallic strength and hit from Vodka.

2. Ube Cream Liqueur

Not only does it look cute as a violet-colored flask but it also offers a different flavor. Even in most local wineries and liquor stores, the Ube Cream Liquor stands out. It is a favored drink for many millennial parents and Gen-Z kids nowadays because of its mellow flavor and novelty. Plus, the container’s a cute souvenir to keep.

3. Lolea Sangria (White and Red)

Around PHP 600.00 a bottle, Lolea Sangria has a sweet, fruity taste that works well with many of the rich dishes that are common in Filipino Christmas dinners. Lechon, paella, roast chicken, pasta, cakes, and many other cheesy dishes are so rich that it messes up the palate. Their Sangrias are perfect to break down the greasiness and flavors that build up from eating.

4. Manille Liqueur de Calamansi

Another one for the local wines and liqueurs, Manille Liqueur de Calamansi or Calamansi Liqueur offers a refreshing, zesty, citrus flavor profile that can easily reset the palate. Using vodka as a base, it can serve as an interesting base for Margaritas at Christmas parties, too.

Manille has Dalandan Liqueur as well, which is slightly sweeter.

5. Paradise Mango

Often hailed as the National Liqueur of the Philippines, it’d be a shame not to try! Filipinos love Mangoes, especially the Mango Graham Float. Maybe for this Christmas, nobody will mind if we mix a little bit of Paradise Mango into the whipped cream and condensed milk mix. Especially when we have OFWs coming back home for Christmas, we are sure they will enjoy a taste of Philippine Mango — be it as fruit or as alcohol.

6. Mead Honey

Mead is one of the oldest forms of alcohol, fermenting water and honey together. It was also a common drink for celebrations way back in the old times, most especially when they celebrated victories or held Christmas or holiday parties. The Philippines even has its own brand of Mead, Dielles.

7. Bacon Vodka

Now, this is a more interesting treat. We love our pork but have you ever tried drinking bacon-flavored vodka? Made from the same creators of the Ube Cream Liqueur, they used sugarcane to make the vodka while adding some smoked bacon and spices. If you’re planning to serve Bloody Marys during the Christmas party, putting the Bacon Vodka adds a nice touch of smokiness to it.

These interesting liquors and wines will make Christmas parties more fun!

When we host Christmas parties in our house, it’s not just about having fun but making sure that the guests go home happy and with good reviews of how we hold them. But it’s not always about how big the party is. Sometimes, all a good Christmas party needs are some interesting, good-tasting liquor.
