There is always that one IT girl that our daughters follow and look up to. The IT girl may be admired for her body of work, her beauty, or her command of attention.
The definition of an IT girl has changed over the years. These women are the epitome of what our girls aspire to be. They are empowered in their own right for the work they’ve done on and off the screen.
Kathryn Bernardo
Kathryn Bernardo has come a long way since she started her career as a child actress. With her work from Mara Clara to the blockbuster films Hello, Love, Goodbye, Hello, Love, Again, and A Very Good Girl, Kathryn has proven herself as one of the country’s top actresses of her generation.
She has been announced as one of the judges in the upcoming Pilipinas Got Talent.

Zendaya started her career as a child model and actress on the Disney channel. She has established herself in roles like Mary Jane Watson in Spider-Man, Rue Bennett in Euphoria, Anne in The Greatest Showman, and Chani in Dune.
More than her acting, Zendaya is also a fashion icon. She appeared in campaign ads for Louis Vuitton and Tommy Hilfiger, where she co-designed a collection. She even had her own shoe collection Daya and released a book called Between U and Me: How to Rock Your Tween Years with Style and Confidence.
Most recently, Universal Pictures announced that Zendaya is joining the cast of Shrek 5 as the voice of Felicia, Shrek and Fiona’s daughter.
In an industry where fair skin is always pretty, Zendaya’s looks are one of the many faces of diversity, which coincidentally is an ongoing topic in the United States.

Andrea Brillantes
Andrea Brillantes has come a long way since she started her showbiz career as a child actress in the kid comedy show Goin’ Bulilit. She did support roles in different ABS-CBN teleseryes until she became known for her role as Marga Mondragon Bartolome in Kadenang Ginto. She also became known for her roles as Sky and Luna in Senior High and High Street.
Blythe, as she is known in the industry, is also a businesswoman with her cosmetic line Lucky Beauty Inc. Early this year, the actress was announced as one of the new cast members in Batang Quiapo, which entered its third year on ABS-CBN’s primetime line-up of shows.

Millie Bobby Brown
Millie Bobby Brown is known for her work in Stranger Things, but she has grown up and is not afraid to admit it. Since her breakout role, Millie has also been recognized for playing Enola Holmes in two Netflix movies and Madison in Godzilla: King of Monsters and Godzilla vs. Kong.
The British actress released a novel, Nineteen Steps. She also founded a fashion and coffee line called Florence By Mills.
Millie also appeared as Princess Elodie in Damsel, where she served as executive producer, and The Electric State.
In 2024, she married actor Jake Bongiovi, son of Bon Jovi frontman Jon Bon Jovi. Millie has also been outspoken about criticism on her looks, pointing out that she is no longer the child everyone used to see from Stranger Things is now a grown woman.

Jillian Ward
Jillian Ward started her career as a child actress, doing commercials before she was cast in the drama comedy Trudis Liit. She later rose to fame in roles in Prima Donnas and Abot Kamay ng Pangarap, which ran from 2022 to 2024.
Because of her acting, Jillian earned the title Star of the New Generation. Her most recent role is Tata in the romantic comedy My Ilonggo Girl, where she also doubled as Venice. She is also a singer, having released several singles, which have become part of the OST of her shows.
Aside from acting, Jillian also has her business in Flordidablanca in Pampanga.

Anya Taylor-Joy
Anya Taylor-Joy has done several films including The Witch. But her role in the miniseries The Queen’s Gambit catapulted her to recognition. In the show, she played the role of Beth Harmon, an orphan chess prodigy determined to be one of the best in the world.
Anya has also voiced Princess Peach in the Super Mario movie, part of Dune 2 and Furiosa: A Max Saga.
Anya has also been recognized as one of the actresses to watch out for since 2016, landing in the list of Hollywood Reporter, W magazine, and Forbes Under 30. She is married to American musician Malcolm McRae.

Michelle Marquez Dee
Michelle Dee is no stranger to the limelight. She comes from the Marquez clan, which includes her mom, former Miss International 1979 Melanie Marquez, uncle and actor Joey Marquez, and cousin, actress and beauty queen Winwyn Marquez. Michelle has carved her path as a beauty queen, model, and actress.
She also explores different creative paths. Aside from photography, Michelle entered the music scene, releasing the song “Reyna,” and is an entrepreneur. She is also active in promoting different causes including autism awareness and mental health.

BLACKPINK
BLACKPINK has become a phenomenal group since breaking into the K-Pop scene. Dubbed “biggest girl group in the world,” their albums have sold millions worldwide and toured in various parts of the world. More than their performances, the group has also used their platform for causes, including Climate Change.
Each member has earned a following from fans separately. While they are signed with YG, they are managed by different companies for their solo activities.
Lalisa Manoban or Lisa is the most followed member of the group and appeared in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show to perform as well as the Academy Awards as one of the singers during the James Bond tribute. Lisa is also part of the cast of White Lotus Season 3, streaming on Max.

Rosé meanwhile has also established herself as a solo artist. Her album Rosie includes the song “Apt”. The song has earned various awards, including becoming the first K-Pop artist to enter the US Billboard 100 charts. The song also earned Rosé a Guinness Book of World Records. She is also a favorite of international brands, where she became the face of brands like Yves Saint Lauren, and Tiffany&Co. She also appeared as the face of the Korean skincare line Sulwhaso and did Valentine’s campaign for Skims.

Like her bandmates, Jisoo has also made her name as a solo artist. She has released several singles and modeled for international brands. Her niche in the group, however, is acting, and she has appeared in dramas like Snowdrop and Newtopia.

The group’s leader Jennie also released several singles and acted as Jennie Ruby Jane in the show The Idol. She has become a staple in fashion shows, being the face of Chanel and, most recently, appearing in ad campaigns for Calvin and Klein. She recently released her full-length album, Ruby.
