Lupita Nyong’o And  Pedro Pascal Lend Their Voices In The Wild Robot

Lupita voices Roz the robot while Pedro voices Fink the fox in DreamWorks Animation’s ‘The Wild Robot’

Can a robot parent a young animal? That’s what Dreamworks Animation’s latest movie The Wild Robot will tackle once it is shown in cinemas.

Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o and Emmy and Golden Globe nominee Pedro Pascal will voice Roz the robot and Fink the fox.

Based on the number 1 best-selling novel of the same title by Peter Brown, The Wild Robot tells the story of Roz, or  ROZZUM unit 7134, who gets stuck on an island and finds herself becoming a parent to a gosling. She later finds herself slowly adapting to the world she is in and must defend it from harm.

Big names in the animation industry

Aside from Lupita and Pedro, other stars voicing in the film are Catherine O’Hara (Schitt’s Creek, Best in Show) as opossum Pinktail; Oscar® nominee Bill Nighy (Living, Love Actually) as goose Longneck; Kit Connor (Heartstopper, Rocketman) as gosling Brightbill and Oscar® nominee Stephanie Hsu (Everything Everywhere All at Once() as Vontra.

Star Wars icon Mark Hamill, Matt Berry (What We Do in the Shadows, The SpongeBob Movie franchise), and Golden Globe winner and Emmy nominee Ving Rhames (Pulp Fiction) also lend their voices to the animated film.

In a time where AI dominates the conversation, will a robot show that it cares? We will find out when the film hits Philippine cinemas on October 9.
