Beauty queen Sharifa Akeel reveals snippets of her baby girl in cute photos!

Miss Asia Pacific 2018 Beauty Queen Sharifa Akeel added a new crown to her head when she gave birth to her baby girl. Although she didn’t name-drop just yet and with no candid full-body photos, Sharifa is more than overjoyed with her new daughter who she swaddled in a soft purple blanket. “Look who decided to show up!” she wrote.

Sharifa and Esmael also revealed their baby’s gender prior with an intimate but traditional balloon-popping reveal.

Before the birth of her baby girl, Sharifa Akeel shared a few photos on her Instagram celebrating her husband, former Governor Esmael Mangudadatu’s, birthday three weeks ago. She first posted a photo from her maternity shoot with him, adding a message. “Thank you for being such an amazing partner my love. I appreciate you for looking out for me, pampering, and supporting me through my pregnancy.”

After which, based on Sharifa’s Instagram stories, the soon-to-be parents spent time in The Farm At San Benito where they also might have celebrated their baby moon, visiting one of the resort’s main attractions: the 300-year-old Mango Tree.

The celebration also appears to be a joint one because 3 weeks prior, Sharifa celebrated her 26th birthday. She remarked on her posted photos, revealing that she was 35 weeks pregnant as well. “Today is my last birthday before I’m officially a mom!”

Beauty queen Sharifa Akeel revealed the name of her baby girl: Princess Salwa Akeel Mangudadatu, even revealing the meaning of the princess’ name.

“Salwa whose meaning in Islam is SOLACE. One who provides comfort and brings happiness – something that will make you forget sadness and worries.” she writes.

She also revealed in the new post about her daughter that Princess Salwa was born on August 24, 2023 at 12:55 PM, weighing 3.3 grams and 55 cm long.

Once their tour is over, most beauty queens go low and live a quiet life. After a year or two filled with tasks of spreading their advocacy, some settle down to start a family. Sharifa Akeel is one such beauty queen, even attending her first Umrah, a visit to the holy city of Masjid al-Haram in Mecca, last April with Esmael. And after long weeks of waiting, Sharifa now shares her crown with her baby girl who we’re sure is the new princess of the house.
