New Superman Teaser Shows Krypto Bringing Him To The Fortress of Solitude

The five minute teaser was shown hours after James Gunn and some of the cast members gave an update at CinemaCon in Las Vegas

We have four months before the new Superman film is released, but director James Gunn gave us another sneak peek, this time five minutes longer than the first trailer.

In the new teaser shown at CinemaCon in Las Vegas and posted by DC Comics after, Superman (David Corenswet) struggles in the snow after falling from the sky. Badly beaten, he whistles for help, and his beloved Krypto rushes to him excitedly. He tells Krypto to pull him to “home” and drags the Man of Steel to the Fortress of Solitude.

Inside the Fortress, the Automatons rush to Superman and immediately put him up so that the sun can heal his body. The rest of the teaser showed footage from the first trailer until the full trailer comes out in the next few weeks.

Excitement Is Building Up

Parents who have seen the previous Superman films and their spinoffs have been curious since it was announced that James Gunn, known for directing Guardians of the Galaxy, will be one of those revamping DC and its movies based on its superheroes. The first trailer has received good reviews, primarily because many are curious about how Krypto will be involved in the storyline.

It’s also important to note that many are curious about the support Superman/Clark Kent’s earth parents, Martha and Jonathan Kent, will play in the new film. We briefly saw a moment between Jonathan and Clark in the teaser, but we have yet to know how strong or challenging their relationship will be in the new movie. We have yet to see if his parents Jor-El and Lara, will also be shown.

Superman hits cinemas this July. It also stars Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor.
