Former professional football player Phil Younghusband and his wife, Margaret Hall also dropped the gender of their incoming new baby!
It looks like the soccer dads are also becoming girl dads as former professional football player Phil Younghusband and his wife, Margaret Hall announced that they’re expecting baby number 2! In his Instagram post, the soon-to-be dad of 2 also revealed that they’re expecting a baby girl. Phil posted some candid garden maternity shoot photos of Margaret as they strolled through a garden one sunny day.
Family Photo Turned Pregnancy Announcement
Based on Phil’s Instagram, the photos came from a family photoshoot and they were stocking up on some candid family photos. Along with some cute bonding moments between Phil and his 3-year-old son, Phil Jr., the photoshoot included a blooming Margaret Hall in a bubblegum pink dress. She also had an accompanying woven basket filled with pink flowers to add a floral touch to the announcement.
While most would like a gender reveal party, Phil and Margaret kept it simple and natural with a photoshoot post. As a former professional soccer player who won the hearts of many, the dad perhaps preferred something a little more intimate with his family. And with the many photos the family of three soon-to-be four have together, they’re hyped up and ready to welcome their new baby girl.
He writes, “Feeling truly grateful, blessed, excited, and beyond happy to share that we are expecting a baby girl soon! 💗💗💗”

After his retirement on November 18, 2019, Phil Younghusband married Margaret Hall in an intimate wedding in England in 2019. A year later, they welcomed their son, Phil James Hall Younghusband Jr. on June 12, 2020, and the two have been enjoying the quiet family life ever since. And with a baby girl on the way, it’s a new chapter for Hall-Younghusband’s quiet family life. Congratulations on the new baby girl, Phil and Margaret!
