Celebrity fencing father-daughter duo, Richard and Juliana Gomez, have been melting hearts all over social media. Despite his busy schedule, Leyte’s 4th District representative in the House of Representatives always makes time to express his pride and joy toward his unica hija who appears to have inherited his love for fencing. Her birthday is no different and he even pens a heart-melting letter while creating a timeline out of a collage of photos on his Instagram.

“Happy Birthday, my love! Always remember that you will always be that little girl in my mind and in my heart. Always keep in your heart that Mom and I love you so much and we only wish and want the best in your growing-up life. Happiest birthday to you!!!” he writes.

A daughter never grows up in her father’s eyes

When a dad becomes a girl-dad, there is this instinct in them to make sure that no one in the world hurts them. While we can chalk it up to their familiarity with all the shenanigans that boys and men do, every dad knows that there’s this magical zing that happens to them when their daughters are born. They melt; the toughness that they were raised in seemingly falls away to achieve a new role: to raise their daughter with all the love they can give so they will want nothing.
