EXCLUSIVE: Sam and Paolo Valenciano are Expecting Baby Number 2
Leia is going to be a big sister as Paolo Valenciano and his wife Sam announced they are expecting baby number 2!
Events director Paolo Valenciano and his wife Sam are going to be parents again! The couple announced that they are expecting another baby through their social media accounts on Sunday, September 11.
Speaking to Modern Parenting, Sam shared that it was a planned pregnancy. The baby joins older sister Leia.
“Well, it was super planned so I was like YES the ovulation strips worked for us,” she said in jest. “I didn’t tell Paolo right away. [I] originally planned to tell him on Father’s Day but he was so down coz of bad news that I felt like I should just tell him already.”
Unlike her daughter Leia, Sam said the first trimester of the pregnancy this time was challenging. “With Leia, I had no morning sickness and it was like business as usual lang. This time I loved my bed more. Was super lazy to dress up and go to events. I didn’t care for food. I drank water as much as I could but it was never satisfying.”
Paolo and family support
Like her previous pregnancy, Paolo has been helping her through the journey. She added he allows her to rest as much as she can.
“Well, the best thing he does is allow me to rest with no guilt. I never take naps and now sometimes I have 3 naps in a day,” she said.
Her family including her in-laws are also tremendously excited about the new addition to the family although she kept it from them for a while.
“Oh they’ve always deep down inside been silently praying for another right away without ever pressuring me/us, so they’re super happy,” she said. “We hid it from them for a while so they were so shocked!”
Paolo, who has been directing events and concerts is the eldest son of Gary Valenciano and Angeli Pangilinan.
