Sheryl Cruz’s Daughter Ashley Bustos Formally Graduates Summa Cum Laude
Actress Sheryl Cruz shared a snippet of her daughter Ashley Bustos’ graduation from San Francisco State University, where she graduated with Latin honors.
Sheryl Cruz is one proud mom as she witnessed her daughter Ashley Bustos’ graduation in San Francisco. The GMA actress shared photos and snippets of her daughter’s special day as Ashley graduated Summa Cum Laude.
“Wishing you a very bright future filled with opportunities & limitless growth with boundless achievements that will make you a positive, courageous, prosperous, an individual that will exude confidence and grace under pressure with wisdom beyond your years,” Sheryl wrote. “I’ve seen your sacrifices & hard work; I’m so delighted it paid off so wonderfully. Congratulations on your Honors Convocation Anak. Again, I am so very proud of you. Know that I will be here for you, even if we do not see eye to eye at times.”
Sheryl also greeted Ashley with a Happy Birthday, saying: “You are my pride and joy. May God bless you with great success in all of your endeavors for the greater glory of the Almighty Father in Heaven! I love you.”
Sheryl’s ex-husband Norman Bustos was also present to see their daughter march on graduation day.
Sheryl also posted a photo with Ashley a day after graduation where they celebrated her birthday.
Prior to the graduation, Sheryl already shared an Instagram post of her conversation with Ashley about her award.
Co-parenting
Sheryl Cruz and Norman Bustos divorced back in 2008. Despite their separation, the two have remained friends to co-parent their only daughter.
Sheryl, who started her career as a young actress, was known for her love team tandem with actor Rominick Sarmenta when they met in That’s Entertainment. Sheryl hails from the Cruz showbiz clan as well, which includes her father, the late actor Ricky Belmonte, and Tirso Cruz III. Sunshine Cruz, Donna Cruz, and Geneva Cruz are her cousins.
Moreover, she is the daughter of actress Rosemarie Sonora, who has been based in the US. Rosemarie is the sister of Susan Roces, who is considered the country’s Queen of Philippine Movies.
