Parents Can Now Use A Smart Cart in This Supermarket
All Day Supermarket has introduced smart carts where parents can shop, scan, and self-checkout in their Las Piñas branch.
Moms, dads, and even young teens often have to wait in long queues at the supermarket just to pay. But that’s slowly changing thanks to the introduction of smart carts in the country.
Smart carts have a device installed on the cart where you can scan the grocery product to know the price. This makes it faster when you pay because once you scan it, all the items with the price will be shown. After that, you can generate a QR code to pay at a number of self-checkout counters. This concept was introduced recently by All Day Supermarket at the Evia Lifestyle Center in Las Piñas.
Grocery shopping has never been this fun
In an interview with GMA 7’s AHA!, Glenn Cardasto, store head, said of the innovation: “This is the first in the Philippines. We started in February 17 and since then binabalik-balikan ng mga shoppers namin.”
Smart carts will truly make a difference in grocery shopping. It can help lessen long queues, and make the tedious task of doing the grocery less boring. Additionally, it can even be a fun, learning activity for the kids!
While we have yet to see the smart cart become available in nearby groceries (especially for those who live in the north), the introduction of the smart cart in All Day Supermarket will definitely get everyone excited to do their groceries!
