Valentine’s Day Gifts To Get For Yourself
Here’s how we’d enjoy Valentine’s Day for ourselves!
Sure, most Valentine’s Day promos involve couples. But, there’s nothing wrong with celebrating it with me, myself, and I. Not only do we spare ourselves the awkwardness of asking or the disappointment that comes after dropping a truckload of hints, but we also get exactly what we want. And for this February 2026, it’s self-love for Valentine’s Day!
Here are some gifts we think you’ll like for yourself for Valentine’s Day.

A Facial
Usually running for an hour or two, a facial can be scheduled after dropping the kids off at school. Besides, we do need a facial massage after wearing that horseshoe in our mouths whenever we meet the other moms—both the ones we like and don’t—after dropping the kids off at school.
It’s the perfect Valentine’s Day gift that leaves a refreshing feeling almost instantly. Who doesn’t like the cool wind in their face after freshly cleansed skin?
Box of Chocolates
Indulge. They don’t have to be the expensive ones; they just have to be our favorites. Valentine’s Day always has some promos on chocolate since they’re traditional gifts. So, we’re pretty sure some may have a buy-one-get-one somewhere.
A Weighted Blanket
Need warm body pressure, but too ashamed to ask because we may look needy and weird? A weighted blanket does the trick. Some of them are made of bamboo threads. Others go for fleece. The important part is that this blanket keeps us cozy and warm while we’re letting the world figure things out.
Flowers
Miley Cyrus has sung it, “I can buy myself flowers.”
So can we. We love flowers, but asking people for some feels strange. So, the best thing to do is just order one ourselves. Flower shops take orders online now, so we don’t have to deal with the awkwardness of explaining why we’re sending ourselves flowers.
A bottle of our favorite bubbly
Bubblies are usually for events, but this is an event: we’re celebrating ourselves. Whether we’re single parents, parents on an LDR for work reasons, or even just typical parents, Valentine’s Day is the perfect excuse to buy ourselves a bottle and chug it down.
Starter Kit of Our Favorite Hobby
Remember that hobby you promised yourself you’d start on once you found the time? The time is now: Valentine’s Day—everybody is out and most likely, the traffic will be absolutely horrible. Before the traffic begins, grab that starter kit of your favorite hobby so you can stay home and savor every moment of it. The best part is, you get something concrete out of the kit, too!
An X number of Hours of Kids In A Play Park
Honestly, that’s not for them. It’s for us. Sometimes, we just want some peace and quiet. Let the kids wreak havoc as their tiny, tyrannical selves elsewhere. Besides, it’s only for a few hours. The world will not blow up unless one of them learns how to use chemicals or magic.

Why It’s Not Wrong To Celebrate Me, Myself, and I
Self-care and self-love ideas are just everywhere! So, why do we still judge others for it?
Simple: because as parents, we’re always geared to think about the family. Our brains got rewired the moment we began our first nine months of waiting for the baby. So any form of something for ourselves will feel odd. Even if it’s something so beneficial, once it affects the family, we’ll drop it like a hot potato.
But not this Valentine’s Day—it’s 2026 and the year of self-love, self-care, and change. Remember: kids learn how to take care of themselves when they see us do it.
Frequently Asked Questions
It’s because the holiday’s usually for couples. But self-love is real and shouldn’t be dismissed.
Honestly, there’s no hard and fast rule about how to handle kids on Valentine’s Day. Kids can be left to their own devices. Additional trick: make sure to hide the iPad or any devices so they’ll actually use their imaginations for once.
Not necessarily. The only one you might have to go out for is the facial, but even then, some people just do the facials themselves at home if they have enough skincare.
In a way, yes. But the best part is there are just so many Valentine’s Day promos to avail of that make it more budget-friendly than a typical treat-yourself day.
Honestly, it’s not. With so many biases toward couple celebrations, spoiling ourselves on Valentine’s Day can feel weird. But, hey, words are words.
