Zanjoe Marudo and Ria Atayde Share Details of Son’s Christening
The couple welcomed their son Sabino in September 2024
Zanjoe Marudo and Ria Atayde posted an Instagram reel of their son Marcel Sabino’s christening on January 25. Ria wrote of the moment: ” Thank you to the Ninongs and Ninangs who said yes to being a part of the village that will raise our child. And thank you to the rest of that village who came and celebrated this milestone with us. We love you all and appreciate your love for Sabino.”
The reel features Arjo Atayde, Ria’s brother, actor, and Quezon City congressman, Enchong Dee, Ria’s sister Gela, LA Tenorio, and Kathryn Bernardo.
Ria’s parents, actress Sylvia Sanchez and Art Atayde were also present for their grandson’s moment.
Busy parents
Ria and Arjo welcomed Sabino last September but kept their child away from social media. Except for a few photos from them and Sylvia, the couple have maintained Sabino’s privacy.
Following the birth of Sabino, Zanjoe and Ria would share photos on Instagram stories of their time with Sabino. In one photo last October 2024, Ria wrote of Zanjoe’s bonding. “Another top favorite moment of my day: winding down with the two of you/ you doing burp duties after I nurse @onlyzanjoemarudo,” she writes.
Last January, Ria posted a series of photos including inside the delivery room and her and Zanjoe’s days with their son.
“A little MIA but a whole lot of life and love these past few months. Thank you to everyone who has helped make it easier and a lot of more fun.”
Work and Family
Ria has yet to share when she will return for another project, Zanjoe has accepted some projects. Based on his Instagram, he recently did a script reading for a Cinemalaya film, wherein he will star alongside Dolly de Leon.
Others in the pipeline include a possible Dreamscape teleserye, wherein he was seen with the bosses last October.
Zanjoe and Ria confirmed their engagement in February 2024. The two married in civil rites while celebrating Ria’s birthday in March 2024. In June, they announced the pregnancy.
