We’re halfway through 2023 and the baby boom continues! Here’s a recap of the couples and personalities who have welcomed babies and will become parents soon.

The first half of the year went by, and more celebrities and personalities welcomed the stork or have become parents themselves. Here’s a round-up of the couples and personalities who welcomed babies and will soon become parents.

Soon-to-Be Parents

Patrick Sugui and Aerial Garcia

In January, Patrick Sugui and his wife, content creator Aerial Garcia, announced that they were expecting their first baby. This June, the couple had a baby shower, announcing they are expecting a baby girl.

Kris Bernal and Perry Choi

Actress Kris Bernal and her husband, businessman Perry Choi, announced the pregnancy in the most creative way – through movie posters! In April, the couple had a baby reveal event, confirming they are expecting a baby girl.

Vickie Rushton and Jason Abalos

Vickie Rushton and Jason Abalos announced in May that they were expecting their first child together.

Vickie rose to fame as part of Pinoy Big Brother and later joined Binibining Pilipinas, where she emerged as 1st runner-up in 2018.

Jason on the other hand rose to fame as part of Star Circle Quest and has since been a regular on GMA shows.

Lucho Ayala and Emma Rueda

GMA actor Lucho Ayala and his wife Emma Rueda are going to be parents as well within the year. Lucho is known for his role as Sergeant Allen Eugenio aka Snoopy in the Philippine adaptation of Descendants of the Sun.

Cindy Obeñita and Henri Lopez

Miss Intercontinental 2021 Cindy Obeñita and her fiance Henri Lopez announced on Instagram that they are expecting their first child together. On June 21, the couple shared a photo with Cindy captioning “Goofing around before our little one arrives.”

Sharifa Akeel

Beauty queen Sharifa Akeel is set to welcome her first child with her husband Toto Mangudadatu. On June 2, the couple revealed they are expecting a baby girl.

Jess Wilson

Sunnies Face co-founder Jess Wilson announced that she and her husband Moritz Gastl are set to welcome their first child within the year. She has since been sharing details of her pregnancy on Instagram.

First-Time Parents

Iza Calzado and Ben Wintle

Iza Calzado and Ben Wintle welcomed their daughter Deia Amihan last January 26. Iza then formally introduced Amihan to her followers in February with photos. She would occasionally share pictures and videos of Amihan’s moments on Instagram.

Bianca King and Ralph Wintle

Like her sister-in-law Iza, Bianca King also welcomed her baby with her husband Ralph Wintle, Ben’s brother, days after Amihan’s arrival. Bianca and Ralph have yet to give more details about their child but the actress and content creator would share insights and learnings on her blog and on Instagram.

Diego Loyzaga

On June 8, actor Diego Loyzaga surprised his followers when he shared a photo of him holding a baby. His mom, actress Teresa Loyzaga, hinted that she is now a grandmother.

Diego has yet to share more details about his life as a dad. But in an interview with Dolly Ann Carvajal, Diego’s dad Cesar Montano confirmed that he has a granddaughter named Hailey.

Mari Jasmin and Michael Concepcion

Model and content creator Mari Jasmin and her husband Michael Concepcion welcomed their daughter Noa early this year.

Mari first announced that she and Michael were expecting their first child in November. Days after the pregnancy announcement, the couple got married in a solemn wedding before having another celebration in Manila early this year.

Jessy Mendiola and Luis Manzano

Jessy Mendiola and Luis Manzano welcomed their daughter Rose on December 28. They introduced Rose to the public in January through a vlog. The couple has since been sharing photos and special moments of Rosie on their respective social media accounts.

Trina Legaspi

Trina Legaspi, known as Hopia of Going Bulilit, welcomed her daughter Kaela with her husband Ryan Jarina. Trina has since been doing more vlogs.

Scottie and Jinky Thompson

PBA player Scottie Thompson and his wife Jinky Serrano are officially parents to son Scot, whom they welcomed last May 5. The couple confirmed the pregnancy back in January.

Pamu Pamorada

2 Good 2 Be True Actress and Pinoy Big Brother Alumna Pamu Pamorada welcomed her daughter with her partner Mitchel Harpin in April. The couple named their daughter Zaia.

Boom Gonzalez and Carla Dunareanu

Host and sportscaster Boom Gonzalez is a dad. His wife, Singapore-based actress and former DJ Carla Dunareanu, welcomed their first child, a son sometime in March whom they lovingly call Peanut. The couple divides their time between Manila and Singapore.
