What will we see with the collaboration?

LEGO and BBC Studios said the TV animated series will inspire the products. Bluey, sister Bingo, and their parents have been entertaining families worldwide since it was released years back.

Both companies explained that the partnership “aims to create equally fun moments of imaginative roleplay and creativity for families as they build, connect, and play out their favorite scenes from the show.”

Michaela Edgerley Stovicek, Head of Preschool at the LEGO Group, said they are excited about this collaboration.

“We are absolutely thrilled to bring together the worlds of LEGO Play and Bluey with the team at BBC Studios. It’s been a long time coming and we believe that this partnership is a match made in heaven for younger builders and families alike. Just like the LEGO brand, the Bluey brand has play at the heart of everything they do, which aligns perfectly with the LEGO brand values and mission.”

“We’re thrilled to partner with the LEGO Group for Bluey!” Julie Kekwick, Head of Licensing Hardlines Consumer Products at BBC Studios said. “We believe that LEGO Bluey products will offer families a fantastic new way to engage with beloved characters and stories from the hit animated series, cultivating even more imaginative play inspired by the Heelers.”

Exciting times for Bluey!

The collaboration between LEGO and BBC Studios is the latest for Bluey. Before Christmas, BBC Studios announced it was finishing a movie scheduled in 2027. In October 2024, an album based on the show was released.

Since it was first launched in 2018 in Australia, Bluey has gained a lot of attention among families. Celebrities like Natalie Portman, Eva Mendes, and Lin-Manuel Miranda have even made cameos in some of its episodes.

Bluey tells the story of a “loveable, inexhaustible, Blue Heeler dog, who lives with her Mum, Dad, and her little sister, Bingo. In the show, Bluey uses her limitless energy to play games that unfold in unpredictable and hilarious ways, bringing her family and the whole neighborhood into her world of fun.”

It has been one of the most streamed children’s shows in the US and has won several awards including the 2019 International Emmy Kids Award and 2022 British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA) for the Children & Young People Award in the International Category.
