Big Brothers for a Day: SB19 Uplifts Young Fans with Cancer

With the help of the Make-A-Wish Foundation Philippines, two young fans got to meet PPop group SB19

Young kids always look up to celebrities for how they project themselves to the public. For them, seeing their favorite celebrities brightens their day, especially those who have terminal conditions like cancer.

That’s what kids like Kiv, 5, and Betsy, 13, felt when they spent time with PPop group SB19. Through the help of the Make-A-Wish Foundation Philippines, Kiv, who was diagnosed with Neuroectodermal Intraabdominal Tumor, and Betsy, who has neuroblastoma, finally met Pablo, Stell, Josh, Ken, and Justin and interacted with them.

Wish Come True

Based on the photos released by Make-A-Wish, Kiv and Betsy had fun with the five boys, who played, talked, and danced with them.

“From sweet conversations to fun TikTok dances, SB19 lit up the room with their kindness, energy, and endless smiles. Our wish kids couldn’t stop beaming – and honestly, neither could we!” the non-government organization shared on Facebook.

“A huge THANK YOU to Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin of SB19 for being Kiv and Betsy’s amazing WishMakers – even with your busy schedule! And to 1Z Entertainment, thank you for your generosity in helping bring this magical moment to life. Here’s to more days filled with hope, strength, and joy!”

SB19: “We Will Forever Cherish These Memories

SB19 has always credited their fans, A’TIN, for making them one of the country’s top performers, and spending time with the young ones from the Make-A-Wish Foundation is an opportunity for them to be big brothers, even for a day.

“There are moments in life that remind you of what truly matters, and today was one of those,” the boys wrote on social media. “Through Make-A-Wish, we had the chance to meet the most inspiring little A’TIN. Their strength, laughter, and warmth filled the room and our hearts as well.”

“We will forever cherish these memories. Thank you, Make-A-Wish, for bringing us closer to them.”

The boys recently wrapped up their two-day kickoff concert at the Philippine Arena as part of the Simula at Wakas Tour. They are scheduled to fly to Taiwan this June and will tour the US and Canada in July and August.
