5 Family Halloween Costume Ideas: Celebrity Edition
Still not sure what the family can do for a Halloween costume? How about some ideas from these celebrities?
Since we’re celebrating Halloween at home with the fam, how about having a family Halloween costume party? Getting dressed up and finding an excuse to indulge our inner child is the perfect motivation to sweeten up your childrens’ at-home Halloween celebration. But what if we don’t have any ideas to work with? Not to worry—we have some celebrity parents here who are more than happy to share their ideas.
1. Squid Game by the Belo Family
Scarlet Snow, Vicki, and Hayden all opted to go for the Squid Game guards for a family Halloween costume. Costumes are pretty low cost and easy to find, too. There’s the Halloween facemask with the Squid Game guards’ symbols on it and then you can get a PPE suit to look the part. All we have to do is to find PPEs that are in the colors we want for Squid Game or we can match the guards: black for special ops, and pink for the grunts.
2. The Queen of Hearts with Joker and Harley Quinn by Regine Tolentino
Cosplay and costume-wearing aren’t just for small kids but for older ones, too. Regine Tolentino made costumes for her grown-up daughters — Reigne and Reigen — to join in on the Halloween fun. With Regine as the Queen of Hearts, her daughters Reigne and Reigen are ready to support her as Suicide Squad’s Harley Quinn and Joaquin Phoenix’s version of the Joker.
3. Little Mermaid with Zeinab Harake and Bia
Zebby‘s got her collection of Disney princesses with her interpretation as a pregnant mom. We can really see her glow as both a mom-to-be and as a princess. Her daughter, Bia, eventually joined her with baby versions of the Disney princesses and more.
4. Star Wars by Neil Patrick Harris and Fam
Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka decided to celebrate May the 4th on October 31 as Obi-Wan Kenobi, Han Solo, Princess Leia, and Luke Skywalker. For families who want to address their inner geek, the Harris family Halloween costume is an idea just too cute to pass up on.
5. The Addams Family by The Madden Family
Nothing says family Halloween costume more than the Addams Family. The dark, brooding, gothic family of Gomez, Morticia, and their two kids, Wednesday and Pugsley, are a picture-perfect Halloween family. The best part is, the costumes are simple with just some black dresses, a suit, and a striped shirt for Pugsley.

These are just some of the ones we found too wholesome and cute but it’ll take some racking to come up with creative ones. We’ve seen pumpkin patches, witches, vampires, and for some — they’ve even done their interpretation of movie characters. For the whole family to cosplay on Halloween, it’s a bonding moment that even your older kids would love to join to make the pandemic easier to deal with.
