Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo’s kids are among those who took advantage of the vaccination for children 5 years old and above

Celebrity couple Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo‘s children were among those who got vaccinated on Monday, February 7 as hospitals rolled out the vaccine program for the 5 to 11-year-old children. On Instagram, Judy Ann shared photos of her children Luna and Lucho after the vaccination. She also posted snaps of the staff led by Dr. Aye Nuguid who led the vaccination in Alabang.

“Our little ones got their first dose of Pfizer vaccine today!” Judy Ann wrote. “The waiting time is very forgivable bilang (given) drive-thru vaccine, the kids are not exposed to a lot of people.. plus the effort that DOH put and the team of doctors headed by Dr. Aye Nuguid and Dr. @ Romeo Nuguid.”

Judy Ann Santos: “Cheers for the frontliners in making it comfortable for kids!”

The actress also said that the kids felt comfortable thanks to the decorations. She also shared she got her booster shot.

“With them are more than 50 nurses and doctors facilitating the vaccination. There are Cocomelon mascots, Anna and Elsa, cheering the kids during the jab. Kaya nagpa booster shot na rin ako! May libre pang balloons! Hats off to all the frontliners for doing this.”

Several of their showbiz friends such as Pauleen Luna-Sotto and Allan K commended the couple for getting their kids vaccinated.

Roll out for kids

Last January, the government announced the approval for vaccination for kids ages 5-11-year olds. The schedule was pushed back to February 7 due to some delays.

Pfizer vaccines so far are the only ones allowed to be jabbed for the kids. Studies show that it has an efficacy of 90% among kids 5 to 11-years old.

Doctors have also reminded parents to guide and prepare them on the importance of vaccination.

The rollout is expected to help the government meet its target to get everyone vaccinated in the country.
