Lovi Poe Tells Sister Grace on Birthday: You’re Worth Emulating
Newlywed Lovi Poe shares her message for her sister, Senator Grace Poe, who celebrated her birthday.
Senator Grace Poe recently gave a heartwarming speech during her sister Lovi’s wedding to Monty Blencowe last week. And this time, it was Lovi’s turn as she paid tribute to her older sister who celebrated her birthday over the weekend.
On Instagram stories, Lovi wrote of Grace: “She has always been worth emulating. She’s not named Grace for nothing, and I can’t believe that that someone is my sister.”
“Today, I celebrate the day you were born. I can only wish to [be] even as half as loving and as graceful as you are. [I] always love you.”
A sister and daughter
During Lovi’s wedding, Grace, the eldest daughter of Fernando Poe Jr., recalled the time she found out about Lovi’s existence. She found her innocent but at the same time, she also felt some maternal instinct.
“I felt so sad and so maternal. I could say maternal because Lovi is just a few years older than my son,” she said.
“So I felt at that time not have I only gained a sister. I almost felt I had another child. Because I see the qualities of the father I loved.”
Grace is the daughter of FPJ with actress Susan Roces. Lovi, meanwhile, is FPJ’s daughter with former actress Rowena Moran.
